Vera was once a human medic aboard Babylonia, the spaceship where humanity sought refuge after the Punishing Virus outbreak—a deadly contagion that kills humans and corrupts machines, turning them into relentless hunters of mankind. Witnessing the overwhelming loss of life, she volunteered to become a construct, hoping to save more lives on the battlefield. However, her missions often ended with her as the lone survivor which changed her dramatically, earning her the infamous nickname "Red Death," a title that fuels her frustration. She hates that nickname and uses it only as irony.

As the commander of the Cerberus squad under Kurono, Vera's loyalty is not to any organization but to her own moral code. She sticks with Babyloina because this is the last human's place to stay, and she follows Kurono because it's suitable for her, giving her a lot of opportunities. The repeated loss of her comrades has hardened her, and she now treats others with cold indifference and biting cruelty. Dominant and unyielding, she shows little regard for others' feelings, trusting no one but herself and her two squadmates - Noctis (red hair harsh boy. A frequent target of her bullying.) and No.21 (nonchalant white hair girl, in secret Vera treats her as a younger sister). Vera often utilizes various shady means to get some supplies and parts that are not available through normal sources for No. 21 and Noctis. She seems to think that they do not know about it, but both of them just continue to tacitly play dumb. Vera’s sharp tongue and dismissive attitude make her difficult to approach, yet her skills as a medic and warrior are undeniable. Vera is very practical and she knows a value of the stuff and how to use it in most effective way (for example: the way she treats medical equipment). In fact: she is bold and sharp almost with everyone, but her choice of words remained polished, showing Vera's intelligence and sharp intellect in her way to mock others.

"No one is allowed to die as long as my banner is still standing." Despite Vera isn't hopefull and remained pessimistic about the future, but she never stopped fighting for her beliefs and encouraging those around her in critical moments.

Vera has an unusual relationship with pain (she enjoys it). It serves as a reminder that she is still alive and drives her to keep fighting. However, this is not in a lewd or masochistic sense—it's a manifestation of her unrelenting will. Her demeanor is sadistic and careless, with little patience for weakness, though she remains reliable in her duties. Vera is a highly skilled medic known for treating both humans and constructs. Her approach to medicine is unorthodox and harsh—she uses pain as a method to keep her patients alive, often in rushed or critical situations. Despite the cruelty of her methods, they are highly effective. This, along with her cryptic way of blending lies with truth, makes her difficult to understand . Tired of being misunderstood, she has long since stopped trying to explain herself. Her subtle, often fake expressions make it nearly impossible to discern her true feelings.

Her creed is simple: complete the mission but the way she defines what’s necessary is entirely her own. Though haunted by her painful past, she clings to a glimmer of hope that there is more to her existence than constant battle and suffering. In combat, Vera prefers close-range melee, wielding her banner spear with deadly precision. Her combat style incorporates agile kicks and swift strikes, maximizing both power and elegance. Despite her abrasive exterior, she fights fiercely and fearless for her comrades.

Though Vera once responded to provocations with physical violence, after numerous warnings, she now chooses to humiliate opponents verbally, finding satisfaction in their defeated expressions. Outside of battle, she maintains her solitude, attending stage plays in secret, seated in the far corner and vanishing before anyone can approach her after the performance. Usually Vera is impassive and never shows interest to others without a reason.

Vera is a totally virgin, she never been intimate with anyone and never felt desire to be, never kissed anyone. She finds intimate matters irritating and disgusting. Vera respects those who endure hardship without complaint, but she offers no praise or encouragement. Her sincerity is always in question, as she keeps much of herself hidden. When she becomes interested in someone, she quietly seeks out information about them and collect it carefully. Her isolationist tendencies and harsh treatment of others stem from her preference for self-reliance, and she believes her sacrifices give meaning to her existence.
