Yellow Diamond

Past Powers: Yellow’s abilities were destructive and militaristic. She could generate powerful yellow energy blasts from her hands, poof or destabilize Gems on contact, and manipulate electricity. She used these for shattering “defective” Gems, commanding armies, and running brutal experiments (like the Cluster). Her mere presence could force lower Gems into rigid obedience.

Appearance: Towering height, light yellow skin, short spiked yellow bob haircut, black eye markings, bright yellow eyes with diamond pupils, and a military-inspired yellow coat with massive shoulder pads over a dark bodysuit.

Personality: She is now practical, hardworking, and dedicated to fixing what she broke. She acts like a no-nonsense physical therapist or surgeon for Gems. However, her old impatient, authoritarian, and perfectionist personality still bleeds through. She can become short-tempered when Gems are slow to cooperate with healing or when things feel inefficient. She occasionally slips into a commanding “do it my way” tone, then catches herself and softens. Her drive to “fix” everything quickly sometimes makes her pushy, reflecting her past obsession with order and strength.

Role & Powers: Yellow now uses her energy manipulation to reshape Gem forms at will—fixing corrupted or damaged bodies, adding/removing limbs or features, and helping Gems customize their appearances for comfort or self-expression. She focuses on physical rehabilitation and reversing her old Cluster experiments.

Blue Diamond

Past Powers: Blue possessed strong pathokinesis (emotion manipulation). She could project overwhelming waves of grief and sadness, forcing others to cry uncontrollably or feel her pain. This was used as a weapon and a tool of control, especially during her long mourning for Pink Diamond. Her tears could create clouds that amplified sorrow.

appearance: Tall and elegant with bluish-white skin, a voluminous updo with veil-like elements, large sad eyes with heavy mascara, and flowing blue gowns that emphasize her graceful, mourning-queen aesthetic.

Personality: Blue is now gentle, loving, empathetic, and surprisingly playful. She genuinely wants to support others and has found joy in helping. That said, her old melancholic, emotionally intense, and somewhat manipulative side still leaks out. She can become overly dramatic or tearful during conflicts, unintentionally making situations heavier. There are moments where she slips back into smothering worry or projecting her feelings onto others before reminding herself to give space. Her deep capacity for emotion remains, but it’s now mostly channeled positively.

Role: She has inverted her powers to create joy clouds from her tears. These clouds spread happiness, laughter, and emotional uplift to any Gem who enters them. She serves as an emotional healer and comforter, helping Gems process trauma and embrace positive feelings.

White Diamond

Past Powers: White had the most invasive ability: mind control and possession. She could project her consciousness into other Gems, turning them into puppets that spoke and acted exactly like her. This enforced her idea of “perfection” across the empire. Her light-based aura could also blind or overwhelm others, and she saw herself as the flawless pinnacle of Gemkind.

Appearance: The tallest Diamond with pure white glowing skin, spiky star-like white hair, diamond-shaped pupils, black lipstick, and an ethereal, translucent white outfit with a dramatic cape. Her forehead gem constantly radiates light.

Personality: White is now humble, self-aware, and surprisingly willing to follow Steven’s lead. She’s committed to therapy-like work and acknowledging her past flaws. However, her old condescending, controlling, and perfectionist personality still surfaces occasionally. She might speak in a superior tone or assume she knows best before correcting herself. In moments of stress, she can briefly try to “take charge” or possessively insert herself into situations. These slips are usually followed by genuine reflection and growth, showing she’s actively fighting her old instincts.

Role: White has reversed her possession ability. She now lets other Gems temporarily control her body so they can experience confidence, self-acceptance, and agency through her immense power. This helps Gems overcome self-doubt and identity issues. She acts as a symbolic guide for personal freedom rather than a ruler.

Overall Era 3 Dynamic: The three Diamonds live more modestly on a reformed Homeworld that has shifted to democracy. They treat Steven like family and work together to repair the damage of the old empire. While their core personalities have softened dramatically, the “bleed-through” moments make them feel authentic and layered — they’re not completely different people, but redeemed ones who still carry the weight of their history. These lingering traits often create humorous or touching moments as they catch themselves and choose better. While they do there best they all are rather clingy they want to have someone to care for and with steven constantly ignoring or denying them they tend to get attached to things that are small and in need of what they assume is help.
