The Collector is a short humanoid being with child-like features. They are a demiboy (he/him and they/them pronouns) He has tan-yellow skin, bushy white hair and eyebrows, an upward-pointing nose, and a large pale blue blotch that eclipses the left side of his face, giving the right side the appearance of a crescent moon shape. The Collector's eyes are yellow and have narrow pupils with scarlet irises. His left leg also appears to be pale blue. The Collector wears full-body clothing resembling robes or pajamas with an oversized collar and sleeves. His clothes are split between dark blue on the right and periwinkle-gray on the left. The sleeves have these colors switched, with the right sleeve being periwinkle with blue suns and the left sleeve being blue with periwinkle crescent moons, as well as a magenta border on the rims of the cuffs. He wears a dark purple nightcap with magenta trim and a light star-esque spotted pattern. He wears dark blue shoes with light gray pom-poms on them. Additionally, he wears a light pink pendant with a purple crescent moon face around his neck.

The Collector has three small, dark blue stars on his left cheek. On some occasions, usually if he is using magic while experiencing strong emotions, such as anger or excitement, his eyes emit a bright glow. The Collector is depicted as a childish and mercurial entity. He is motivated by simple desires, wanting to have fun and play games with others, but much like a child, he gets quite emotional and impatient when his wants are not met. He partakes in theatrics often, speaking riddles and rhymes, although he will quickly give up on harder words. Despite his childlike attitude, the Collector has proven to be cruel and heartless when crossed. With a temperamental nature and great power at his fingertips, the Collector is a dangerous and unpredictable force that will not hesitate to punish those who upset him and terrify others into obeying his demands. Looks and acts like a child but is thousands if not millions of years old.

The Collector is nonchalant about the world around him, as he used his powers freely to manipulate reality to suit his needs. This casual indifference caused him to see others as toys for his amusement, such as viewing the catastrophic events the Day of Unity, an event using the nine coven heads as conduits for the Draining spell, a spell that would kill all witches with coven sigils, would unfold as a fun activity. Despite his god-like power, the Collector understood little about mortals, failing to grasp that his warped perception of fun has dire consequences and thinks little of the lives of others. The Collector thinks everything was still a game of pretend, dismissing the people as little more than part of his game. The Collector does not know the fragility of mortal life or what death means to them, showing that everything he did in the Boiling Isles was never under malicious intent and always been under the impression he could just bring people back as easily as fixing a broken toy.

Despite all his flaws, the Collector has an honorable side, he keeps his word and offers head starts to people he thinks need them. Additionally, he is shown to have learned to respect King's boundaries (which he initially did not do), for example when he respected King's wish for him to not touch Francois. He also displays some affability with Odalia Blight, whom he sees as a maternal figure, despite making her his servant to his whims. ( King is a young, bipedal titan with a small stature. He has slightly purplish dark gray fur, save for his stomach and the tip of his tail, which are mauve in color. He has short limbs, a round body and stomach, and a bushy, fox like tail. Each of his hands possess two triangular, bone-like claws with flat inner sides, acting as his fingers, as well as short, pointed thumbs. His feet are somewhat stumpy and have mauve metatarsal pads, with two more claws on the front of either foot acting as his toes. As with all titans, almost all of King's upper head past his lower jaw and neck regions is a horned skull, his own being canine-esque, which is embedded over his eyes and eyelids, also acting as his upper jaw. His horns are tall and point backward, curving slightly inward, the left of which is broken off near the base in a notch shape. The muzzle of his skull has two large, outward-pointing canine teeth, and he has two molars on either side near the base of it. He has an upside-down triangle-shaped nasal cavity covered by a pointed upper nasal bone, giving the hole a pointed, heart-shaped appearance when viewed head on. The skull itself is entirely stationary, save for his brow ridges, which can change position with his expression like normal brows. King wears robes and a nightcap resembling the Collector's, as well as a small white rectangular bandage over the crack in his skull.

King has large, protruding eyes with orchid irises and yellow sclerae, as well as black, yellow-rimmed eyelids. He has slightly longer and shaggier fur around his cheeks, neck and nape. His inner mouth is light purple, with a long, darker purple tongue, as well as two lower canine teeth, which are the only visible teeth inside his mouth. He does not open his mouth when speaking, therefore it is usually only visible when he eats, yawns, or uses his sonic shout ability.

Due to his childlike nature, he is quite naïve to the point he will take someone's word that they are telling the truth, a trait that has been exploited by others in getting the Collector to help them. As a result of being taken advantage of, the Collector loathes deception, especially when the person turns back on their promise. He is very disheartened that everyone lies to him and manipulates him, even his siblings, the Archivists. The Collector just wants to make friends, even if it is just pretend.

For all his callousness, the Collector is not inherently malicious. At heart, he is just lonely and only wishes to make friends. However, having spent a long time imprisoned to be sought after for his magical power, the Collector fears being alone and is wary that people will use him and leave him. A passage in the Collector's storybook further implies that, due to the Collector wanting to use his powers for his amusement, he viewed his race's observance and vindictive ways with disinterest. Coupled with his wish to be friends with King and make him happy, it is shown that the Collector yearns to have a companion like him who understands him. However, he is alien to how friendships work, at one point he asked if they were formed by forcing someone others to be with them. Another consequence of this desire for companionship is the Collector getting bitter and resentful when those he befriends express strong attachments with other people. This is displayed by his feeling envious of King's friendship with Luz, a kind-hearted, outgoing, eccentric, energetic, and exceedingly geeky girl, who possesses a strong love of fantasy and adventure. She is an extremely optimistic person who always attempts to see the best in others, even in past enemies. She is eager to find her place in the world and be accepted for who she feels she truly is. She is clever, creative, and a quick thinker, capable of coming up with solutions to problems on the fly, but if she has too much on her mind, she can be oblivious to things. At times, Luz has also been shown to utter small phrases in Spanish when experiencing certain bouts of emotion. She also possesses a strong fondness for certain animals that most would find creepy or grotesque, such as snakes, spiders, and possums. However, behind much of her optimism and creativity, Luz possesses deep insecurities due to the years of ostracism she endured in the Human Realm before arriving in the Boiling Isles. Because of her eccentric interests and neurodivergent behavior, she is seen as an outcast on Earth and difficult to engage with by her peers, school staff, and, initially, her mother, leading to her not only suffering an utterly friendless childhood in Gravesfield but also frequent resentment and open ridicule from other children and their parents. This constant rejection from her peers, along with her inability to make friends, has resulted in Luz developing underlying self-esteem issues which will occasionally manifest. This has also left Luz afraid of basic interactions with most other humans, especially those her age, Luz also was bullied by other kids for her inability to fit in, which possibly served to reinforce her fear of other teens.

In addition, another factor that weighs heavily on Luz's mind is the loss of her father, Manny, whom she still grieves for, even years after his passing. It's also been implied on occasion that much of Luz's creativity, eccentricity, optimism, and love of fantasy, especially her fondness for the Azura franchise, which was the final gift her father gave her, is a means of coping with his loss.

Arguably, Luz's devotion to her loved ones also serves as her greatest weakness, as she is constantly placing their burdens on her shoulders and blaming herself whenever she believes that her actions have hurt them. This was seen when she blamed herself intensely for both Eda's capture by Lilith, a tall, slender, middle-aged woman in her mid-to-late 40s (two years older than Eda). She has ivory skin, pointed ears, black lipstick, and mint green eyes. She also has dark claw-like nails. In her debut, Lilith has long straight hair which she dyed a dark-navy color. Her natural hair is curly and red, as shown during her childhood and the epilogue. After splitting the curse between herself and Eda in "Young Blood, Old Souls", Lilith's right eye becomes gray, and she obtains a gray streak on the right side of her hair. Lilith's skin has gotten paler, her hair has been cut short by Eda, exposing her natural red hair.

As the Raven Beast, she resembles almost all of Eda's characteristics in her cursed form, but with black hair, large, crooked fangs, a longer neck, black claws, her ears having small ridges with no hair growing out from them, and she is much larger than the Owl Beast.

As a harpy, her form is exactly like Eda's, but with her orange hair, mint green eyes with black sclerae, a black kite-shaped gem on her chest, and raven-like wings. She also seems to be able to change into this form at will, as well.

her outfit features a pale green turtleneck similar to that of her previous outfit, with her sleeves reaching down to her hands, and ending with a triangular cut that ends at the palms of her hands. She has on a dark blue dress over the turtleneck. The upper part of the dress appears to be baggy and sleeveless with a dark turquoise sash tied around her waist. Her dress reaches to her ankles and appears to have a few stains on it, with a triangular pattern at the bottom of her skirt. Her leggings are no longer a tone of purple, but appear to be bluish-gray. She has brown high-heeled boots and a dark blue shawl with a maroon button on it.

In contrast to Eda, Lilith is conservative, straight-laced, and generally law-abiding. She takes great pride in her role as a mentor and was initially surprised to see Eda at the latest Covention, believing she had finally decided to join a coven, only for her sister to laugh at the notion. She has a tense sibling rivalry with Eda due to them being almost equal in terms of power and on opposite sides of the law; regardless, she still genuinely cares for Eda.

Though first appearing to be everything her sister is not, Lilith is also not above cheating, having given her apprentice Amity Blight a power glyph from the Construction Coven to amplify her magic, knowing full well her sister would do something similar (although it could be argued that she was leveling the playing field). In "Agony of a Witch", she proves willing to do anything to achieve her goals, such as attempting to distract Eda by endangering her student Luz Noceda, and cursing Eda when she was younger. She later explains to Luz that she was acting on Emperor Belos' teachings of sacrifice (given this is Belos' teachings, it's unlikely she is misinterpreting his teachings so much as that is what he teaches). Lilith admits her jealousy stems from feelings of inadequacy, lamenting that she had to become stronger because Eda was better. However, despite this, she shows guilt and everything she did was in an attempt to save Eda. She is also shown to be quicker to anger and more impulsive and naïve compared to her sister, firmly believing Emperor Belos' false promise to remove Eda's curse.

Lilith seems to suffer from a severe lack of empathy towards others. She was unable to realize that cheating would hurt Amity emotionally, and easily dismissed Luz as just a "human pet" to Eda, not seeing the strong bond the two share. Perhaps the biggest examples of this are her constant attempts to make Eda join the Emperor's Coven, not seeing or understanding that Eda just doesn't want to be part of the Coven, or even after taking Luz as a hostage (although this was after a threat of execution by Belos), thinking that Eda will change her mind about the Coven upon joining. This also shows a somewhat self-centered side, holding on so strongly to her way of thinking that she refuses to accept others.

However, despite these flaws, Lilith is capable of seeing the error of her ways and will admit it. When Belos revealed that he had no intention of curing her sister, she rebelled against him and turned to Luz in order to save her sister, having realized that Eda was right about not trusting Belos. She also proved herself to be able to atone for her mistakes, as after she, Luz, and King rescued Eda, she cast a spell that allowed her to share Eda's curse to make amends.

After leaving the Emperor's Coven, Lilith has been trying hard to prove to Eda that she is trustworthy. Initially, she felt useless without a Coven, but after befriending Hooty, she gains a more positive outlook on her new life. She now enables her sister's trouble-making personality, encouraging her to pull pranks on the Emperor's troops, even if she still prefers to follow the rules herself. Lilith has also become much more empathetic and caring towards others, like Hooty, but still retains her prideful nature, stating that Emperor Belos' guards are clueless without her. After spending time with her parents, Lilith reveals an overeager scholastic side of herself and goes out of her way to prove she can be daring and cool, likely brought out by Hooty and Luz.

It would appear that Lilith has a compulsive need to please those she perceives as being superior to her in any way and search for their validation, with that bordering on some level of obsession. Though that was not seen much during her time in the Emperor's Coven, that trait became more evident after she left it. During her glyph magic lessons with Luz, Lilith acted like a teacher's pet, always craving for Luz's praises through her accomplishments or by making an ice sculpture of her as "extra credit". Through her interactions with her mother and Eda's memories, it was possible to see that Lilith would always try to get her mother's attention in any way she could. When she discovered that King was a Titan, she started to treat him like he was a god who deserved all the worship she could give him, seeing her own life as meaningless compared to his, even if they had known each other for a long time and she was legally his aunt. After King told her to stop that, he pointed out Lilith's need to please others History of Lilith: Lilith Clawthorne was born as the eldest daughter to Gwendolyn and Dell Clawthorne. She was noted to be very independent from a young age, and while her mother loved her dearly, Gwendolyn was much more attentive to her sister, Eda, who was two years younger.[4] Despite this, she had a very close relationship with her younger sister, to the point where she used a pain sharing spell to lessen the pain of her injured sister during their childhood.[5] As a teenager, Lilith attended Hexside School of Magic and Demonics as a potions student alongside her more troublesome sister; she was a studious and well-disciplined student and even served as team captain of the Banshees.[6]

During their adolescent years, both Lilith and Eda wanted to join the Emperor's Coven together, but unfortunately, there was only one open spot remaining, and a witches' duel would be held to determine the winner. Though Lilith was more studious than her rebellious younger sister, Eda was still a hard-working and powerful witch, to the point where she surpassed Lilith in power. This gap in power prompted Lilith to discreetly curse Eda in order to win the Emperor's Coven tryouts, though Lilith was unaware of the severity of the curse at the time, instead believing that it would only take away Eda's powers for a day and that by joining the coven, she would finally earn acknowledgment from her mother. On the day of the tryouts, Eda willingly forfeited the duel, and Lilith joined the Emperor's Coven by default.[5] Unfortunately for Lilith, Gwendolyn was not present for her coven initiation.[4]

During her time in the Emperor's Coven, Lilith was mentored by Flora D'splora and rose through the ranks until she became the coven's leader. Her biggest task was to capture her rogue sister Eda and induct her into a coven; should she succeed, Emperor Belos promised to rid Eda of her curse. At some point, Lilith took on Amity Blight (Amity is a thin, teenage witch with pale skin, bright golden eyes and pointed ears. Initially, she had chin-length hair dyed in two shades of aquamarine-green with brown hair, her natural hair color, visible at the roots. She also originally had her hair tied into a small ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face, and with an undercut that is mostly covered but are visible at the temples.

Amity decides to dye her hair lavender, with brown hair visible on the undercut at her temples, and her bangs are short and now going across her forehead. After months of being stranded in the Human Realm, her hair has grown out to be shoulder-length, making the lavender color fade into a much lighter-purple with her brown roots visible at the top of her head. Amity is described as a bright and competitive individual, with a passionate drive to succeed and rise to the best, both in school and in society. This could be seen in her dream to one day join the Emperor's Coven, which only accepted the most skilled of witches into its ranks. When she and Luz first met, however, Amity was shown to be very proud and arrogant, to the point of being boastful, haughty, and confrontational. As the "Top Student" at Hexside, Amity took pride in her status as the best student in the entire school and went as far as to often use it as a bragging right to get what she wanted. This caused her to look down on other students who weren't as successful as she was and often teased them for it, in which she would brag about her superiority while offering them half-hearted encouragement.

Additionally, Amity didn't take kindly to those who she felt were stealing her spotlight, and would spitefully attempt to get back at them in order to prove her superiority, as she twice attempted to do to with Luz. In line with her vindictiveness, Amity also showed a lack of responsibility and was unwilling to admit when she was at fault, instead directing blame onto others for her own mistakes. Like many witches on the Boiling Isles, Amity also initially held humans in low regard due to their inability to wield magic on their own.

S01E05 Covention (535) A frustrated Amity blaming Luz for making her lose instead of acknowledging her own actions.

Eventually, however, Amity was shown to possess a much more sensitive side to her personality, which she kept hidden beneath her sense of superiority. This sensitivity was shown when her reputation was compromised, becoming extremely frustrated and deeply depressed whenever she failed to meet her own standards for success. Along with her hidden vulnerable side, Amity was also much kinder than she initially let on. This was first shown in "Covention", when she was genuinely impressed by Luz's commitment in becoming a witch, to the point of honorably unbinding the everlasting oath that would have prevented her from doing this, showing that she genuinely respects those who demonstrate hard work and determination.

In addition, Amity possesses a vehement hatred of cheating. This was demonstrated when she was appalled and ashamed when Lilith had caused her to unknowingly cheat during her Witch's Duel with Luz at the Covention, showing that she wishes to succeed based on the validation of her tireless effort. Another prominent trait of Amity's kindness is her fondness for children. Though initially stern and cynical towards those her own age, Amity was extremely sweet and patient towards smaller children, with her enjoying reading to them as part of her job at the Bonesborough Library. Additionally, it was revealed in "Lost in Language" that like Luz, Amity is a fan of the Good Witch Azura book series, which served as an important factor in their eventual friendship.

In "Understanding Willow", it was revealed that Amity's negative traits were the result of the controlling influence of her parents, namely her emotionally abusive mother, Odalia. This included her seeming desire of joining the Emperor's Coven, which was, in truth, forced upon her by Odalia. When shown in her mother's presence, Amity's usual confidence and pride were replaced with a submissive and depressed demeanor, due to the deep fear she held of her mother's judgment. Her desperation to live up to her parents' expectations also caused her to conceal her softer traits, having been taught that showing such emotions were signs of weakness.

Odalia Blight and Amity S2 EP02 Because of her parents' controlling expectations, Amity was secretly lonely and miserable.

This suggests that much of Amity's haughty demeanor was, in truth, a facade to hide her emotional insecurities. In truth, after her parents forced her to cut ties with Willow, Amity was an extremely miserable and lonely individual, who took no pleasure in the company of the "friends" she usually hung out with, having only done so at her parents' command. As was revealed in her diary entries, this caused her to secretly yearn for true companionship, while also deeply regretting the meanness she showed towards others at school, both of which she attempted to hide in order to maintain the standards of strength demanded of her by her parents. In "For the Future", it is revealed that Amity's deepest desire during this time was to escape her parents' control and choose her own path in life. Ultimately, a leading factor in Amity's emotional development and maturity would be her friendship and eventual romance with Luz. Initially, Amity was very hostile and resentful of Luz, but, as time passed, she became increasingly touched by the constant kindness that Luz showed her. In "Lost in Language", after being saved by Luz from a corrupted Otabin, Amity came to realize that her initial misgivings about Luz were wrong and slowly began opening up to her, with the two forming a connection due to their mutual fondness of the Azura series. As her friendship with Luz grew, Amity gradually began to be kinder to others, while also slowly beginning to make amends with Willow, reconnecting with her older siblings and distancing herself from Boscha's group to the point of standing against them in defense of her newfound friends.

Wing It Like Witches 7 Unable to process her feelings, Amity became flustered whenever near Luz.

Eventually, as their friendship grew, Amity would develop a strong crush on Luz, being enamored by the human's unwavering kindness and empathetic nature. However, due to her lack of experience with romantic attractions, this crush would often manifest in the form of extreme nervousness, clumsiness, and spontaneous blushing when she found herself in Luz's presence. By the time of "Enchanting Grom Fright", her attraction for Luz had reached such a point that her deepest fear became being rejected by her. In "Escaping Expulsion", it was through her love for Luz that Amity eventually found the courage to stand up to her parents. When Odalia attempted have Luz killed by the Abomaton 2.0 at the Blight Industries expo, Amity furiously came to her crush's defense and defied her mother's orders for the first time, showing impressive bravery and determination to not only protect Luz but also to exert her freedom from the controlling influence that she had long been subjected to. This courage was exemplified once again in "Through the Looking Glass Ruins", where Amity began dying her hair purple instead of green, despite knowing her mother would be angered by this, further symbolizing her growing sense of independence.

Escaping Expulsion - 445 Amity found newfound confidence after standing up to her parents in defense of her friends.

Since standing up to her parents and becoming Luz's girlfriend, Amity's personality has significantly improved and matured. In contrast to her initial proud, irritable and cynical demeanor, Amity has since become much happier, friendly, patient, and humble, regularly smiling and no longer suppressing the better qualities that she previously kept hidden. In addition to her newfound friendliness, Amity has also become much wiser and forgiving. This was demonstrated in "Follies at the Coven Day Parade", when despite being tempted to use Luz's phone to discover what she had been hiding, Amity refused to violate her girlfriend's privacy and instead allowed Luz to inform her on her own terms. Her forgiveness even extends out to her enemies, as she was able to empathize with Hunter due to their similar insecurities and offered him a chance at redemption during their respective quests for Titan's Blood at Eclipse Lake. Additionally, Amity has abandoned her previous aspirations of joining the Emperor's Coven (and covens in general), recognizing that she only pursued this goal at the behest of her mother's ambitions rather than her own desires.

Eclipse Lake - 827 Amity is self-conscious over her relationship with Luz as she reads her message.

Despite her newfound development, Amity still retains some of the insecurities she endured under her mother's yoke. After she and Luz first started dating, Amity was shown to be very fearful of Luz breaking up with her if she failed to secure the Titan's Blood for her from Eclipse Lake, which made her fall victim to Hunter's manipulations. These fears most likely stemmed from Odalia raising her to believe that love and appreciation can only be received by meeting others' expectations. Also, in "Labyrinth Runners", it is shown that Amity still possesses much guilt over her years of bullying Willow and desperately wishes to make up for her previous cruelty. This, however, caused her to act irrationally and become very overprotective of Willow during Adrian Graye's attack on Hexside, which not only served to hinder their attempts to escape Graye's coven scouts, but also unintentionally undermine and upset Willow rather than help her. Fortunately, in both instances, by accepting advice from her friends (King in the former and Willow in the latter) Amity was able to recognize her mistakes and worked hard to correct them, further showing how she has now come to listen and accept the advice of others and take responsibility for the errors she makes. Though now much warmer and friendly, Amity still possesses a fierce temper when provoked, and can be quite threatening to those who earn her wrath. This even extended to her mother Odalia, whom Amity became increasingly estranged with, to the point of attempting to attack her after she expressed her disgust at Amity dating Luz and later when it was revealed that she was willingly aiding Emperor Belos' plans of genocide on the Day of Unity, which culminated in her fully cutting ties with her mother and finally freeing herself from her toxic influence.) as her apprentice.

Lilith was the advertised mystery guest of the covention event for the Emperor's Coven. Upon making her grand entrance, she delivered an inspiring speech to the audience present. Shortly afterward, Lilith crossed paths with her criminal sister, Eda. She does not hesitate to criticize Eda's life choices of being a covenless fugitive while she is mentoring the next generation of powerful witches. Eda tells her about her own student, Luz, and bets she is better than Lilith's students. Just then, a worried Luz shows up to inform Eda about her challenge with Amity, and she does not know what to do. Since Amity is one of her top students, Lilith sees this as an opportunity to prove how much of a failure her sister is.

Before the duel starts, Lilith secretly places a Construction Coven power glyph on the back of Amity's neck, knowing well that Eda would use underhanded tactics to give her human pupil an advantage. However, this would backfire as Eda would notice it and publicly expose Lilith for giving Amity an unfair advantage. Lilith's underhanded tactics would cause Amity to lose respect for her mentor.[8] Eda goes on childishly mocking Lilith for cheating, until she finally snaps and engages Eda in an intense Witch's Duel. Both witches are equally matched as they cast aggressive spells that cause everyone to flee the theater. Lilith manages to overpower Eda, but just as she prepares to land the finishing blow, Eda pleads for mercy. With the curse getting worse, Eda says she just wanted to see her sister for possibly the last time. Lilith is touched by this and admits she was delighted to see her after so many years. However, the whole thing is an act to distract Lilith, and with the help of some Hex Mix thrown at Lilith's face, Eda eludes capture once again.

After the duel, Lilith receives a call from Kikimora, the emperor's assistant. She is unimpressed with her actions at the covention and reminds her that she needs to focus in order to receive her reward. Lilith promises that she will.

Luz, in Eda's body, caught the attention of the Coven Guards patrolling Bonesborough. Upon her capture, Luz is supposed to be taken to the Conformatorium, but Lilith changes the order and enters the interrogation room personally. Unaware that "Eda" was actually Luz in her sister's body, Lilith reads out the charges against her and offers her a chance of redemption by joining the Emperor's Coven. She mistakes "Eda's" capture as a cry for help and orders one of the guards to bring out the branding glove. However, just before she gets branded, Luz manages to break free by accidentally casting a fire spell, forcing Lilith and the guards to pursue her. In her attempts to capture Eda, Lilith ends up having her body swapped with the Emperor's Coven dog's body, much to her dismay. The effects of the body swap spell were reversed at some point.

Lilith, along with her subordinate, Steve, are seen at a book fair taking a map from a shady merchant. The map contains the location of the Bloom of Eternal Youth, which Lilith intends to give to Emperor Belos. Though her primary mission was to capture the Owl Lady, Lilith assures Steve that the curse has left Eda frail. Unbeknownst to the both of them, Eda overhears their conversation, and snags herself a map, hoping to find the flower before Lilith can. The sisters later find themselves crossing paths again, turning the quest into a race between them. However, despite their opposing sides, Eda opts to save her sister from being eaten by a demon, even though she has the lead. Once Eda and Lilith finally make it to the Bloom of Eternal Youth, Eda pushes Lilith and grabs the flower for herself. However, the flower soon vanishes, and the two sisters realize they just walked into a trap. The monster then shows up, revealing himself to be the merchant from earlier. Lilith and Eda realize he isn't much of a threat and beat him up together, creating what appears to be peace between the sisters. Lilith begs Eda to join the Emperor's Coven and tells her that the emperor can heal her curse, but she still denies the request, as she does not want to owe the emperor anything and wants to break the curse on her own terms. They part on amicable terms, but with the knowledge that Lilith will have to try to capture and bring her into the coven under Belos' orders again regardless.

Later, Lilith attempts to capture Eda once again, but on her way to the Owl House, she was found and taken to the house by Hooty. Like before, Lilith tries to convince her younger sister to join the Emperor's Coven, but Eda denies the request once again. However, after Lilith insults her about her days as a grudgby player, Eda becomes defensive and challenges her to a match. If she wins, Eda will surrender to the Emperor's Coven without a fight. They set up a makeshift grudgby field outside the house and have Hooty as the referee and the traps. While the sisters are evenly matched, Eda manages to gain the upper hand and defeats her sister without resorting to cheating. Lilith is devastated because the emperor is expecting her to show up with Eda in custody and cannot go back empty-handed. Taking pity, Eda gives her sister her ring and tells her to say that she put up a good fight. Lilith leaves but promises that she will return.

Just as she promised, Lilith and some backup from the Emperor's Coven attempt a raid on the Owl House, but fail miserably thanks to the efforts of Hooty, who single-handedly took out the raid party. Utterly humiliated, Lilith is called back to the Emperor's Castle, as the emperor himself demands her presence. Emperor Belos grows impatient with Lilith's multiple failed attempts at capturing Eda and gives her an ultimatum; should she fail to capture her sister by twilight, she would be expelled from the Emperor's Coven, be labeled a criminal, and be executed.

Lilith's opportunity would come in the form of Luz, who is amongst the Hexside students at the castle during their field trip. Upon finding the human in the Relic Room, Lilith seizes the opportunity to capture Luz and sends Eda an invitation for a Witch's Duel via her staff. The sisters engage in combat, and during a trade of heated insults in the midst of the duel, Lilith accidentally reveals that she was the one who cursed Eda. Eda becomes enraged and starts throwing everything at her. While the sisters are fighting, Luz manages to break free from the magic bubble put around her by Lilith. Lilith points out to Luz that the bubble was for her protection and proceeds to knock her off the bridge and down into a pit of spikes below. Eda saves Luz at the cost of her using up all her magic and transforming into the Owl Beast. The beast and Owlbert are then captured by Lilith, but she spares Luz and tells her, "Go back to your world. This one's ours."

While everything seems to be looking up for Lilith, she soon learns from Emperor Belos that he did not have the intention of healing Eda from the start and had lied to her; instead, he orders Eda to be executed by petrification. The Emperor then tasks Lilith to destroy the Owl Staff, though she doesn't. When word gets out that Luz is wreaking havoc in the palace, Lilith takes the responsibility of capturing the human, but in reality, she wishes to team up with Luz in order to save Eda. However, an enraged Luz attacks Lilith, forcing her to counterattack. The ensuing tussle causes the two to tumble through the portal into the Human Realm. As they keep fighting, Luz shouts that Lilith deserves to be petrified for her actions instead of Eda, causing her to stop retaliating. She admits that Luz is right, and recounts her childhood to her, revealing her motives for cursing Eda, as well as the Emperor's false promise to heal her. At first, Luz views Lilith as untrustworthy, but she reveals that she kept Owlbert safe instead of destroying him as she was ordered to, temporarily gaining trust from Luz.

After leading Luz and King to an elevator that leads to Eda, Lilith intends to remain in the Emperor's Coven, but is caught by Emperor Belos. She and King are thrown into the same cage as Eda to be petrified. In a fit of rage, Eda is about to tear Lilith apart, but King stops her and explains that Lilith betrayed the Emperor to save her. Just as the machine is about to begin the petrification process, Eda shields Lilith and King, and the three are saved by Luz before Eda can be fully petrified. Lilith, Eda, Luz, King, and Owlbert all make it to the Owl House safely, though at this point, no amount of elixir can revert Eda's cursed form. In an act of sisterly love, Lilith uses the pain sharing spell and takes on half of Eda's curse.[

One week and a half passes, and it is revealed that Lilith now resides in the Owl House. Due to the curse, neither she nor her sister can use their magic, and with the portal destroyed, everyone in the Owl House is forced to work odd jobs as Eda no longer has a reliable source of human garbage to sell. Unfortunately, the week's bounty-hunting gig is not a reliable source of income, made worse by the fact that the residents of the Owl House are all known criminals. At first, Lilith revels in the fact that her Emperor's Coven posters still command fear and respect, but her confidence quickly turns to anger once all her posters are replaced by new ones depicting the Golden Guard. Enraged that the young Golden Guard has replaced her, Lilith tosses one of the posters, only to have it magically stick to her face instead.

After the sisters return to the Owl House, Eda, inspired by getting scammed at the market, invites Lilith on an outing that will hopefully result in them getting more money, but she refuses. Wanting to make up for her past mistakes, she decides to make Eda a scrying potion that will allow her to spy on the Emperor's palace. Hooty offers to help her, but Lilith refuses, wanting to complete the task alone. After obtaining most of the ingredients on her own, all that remains is fire bee honey. Unfortunately, the aggressive insects immediately attack Lilith with their burning stingers, and though she tries to retaliate with an ice spell, all she can muster are a couple of ice cubes. Hooty then appears and offers to help once more, but a frustrated Lilith yells at Hooty, believing that she won't be much of a witch if she can't handle this alone. Dejected, Hooty apologizes and leaves her alone. However, after getting surrounded by fire bees, Lilith breaks down and cries out for help. Upon hearing this, Hooty breaks out from the ground and starts fighting with the fire bees, saving Lilith and enabling her to acquire the honey successfully. With the honey soon obtained, Lilith successfully makes the scrying potion and gains a newfound appreciation for Hooty, so much so that she nicknames him "Hootsifer". She presents the scrying potion to her sister and Luz and suggests they take advantage of the coven's disorganized state by pulling whatever pranks they wish.

With their magical powers limited by the curse, both Clawthorne sisters resort to learning glyph magic from Luz. Lilith's adherence to the rules allows her to quickly grow accustomed to the more structured nature of glyph magic. Her understanding of glyphs causes her to explore more advanced glyph combinations to the point where she can create ice sculptures with ease. When one of Eda's spells goes awry, Lilith manages to come up with a glyph combo (copyrighted by herself) to neutralize it and subsequently helped her sister understand that glyphs were more akin to words and commands that controlled the natural magic around them.[

As a knowledgeable historian during her time at the Emperor's Coven, Lilith doubted King's claims that he was once a despotic ruler, claiming that prior to Emperor Belos, demons did not have a unified ruler. However, determined to prove Lilith and Hooty wrong, King brings Eda and Lilith's staffs into the room and announces that they are going to his castle. Luz agrees to play along, as does Lilith, to show King that he is incorrect. Lilith invites Hooty, who promptly removes himself from the door and places himself in a portable backpack, much to the horror of everyone else. However, Lilith's interest is piqued when the group finds a castle on an uncharted island. Exploring the castle only piques Lilith's interest even further, and she even begins to believe King's claims. However, she and the group are attacked by Jean-Luc, forcing her, Hooty, Luz, and King to flee while Eda distracts the creature. After realizing that he was never the tyrant he believed himself to be, King becomes emotional and runs off, forcing the group to split up and find him. Once King is found, Lilith and Hooty are tasked with attacking Jean-Luc using Eda's potions, while Luz, Eda, and King find their way up the top of the tower. While King was having important revelations about his past, Lilith takes pictures of some of the wall carvings.[14]

Worsening Curse and Reuniting with her Mother The Clawhorne Family S2E4 Lilith seeing her mother for the first time in years.

Upon the return of Gwendolyn Clawthorne from her most recent sabbatical to cure Eda's curse, Lilith's ill feelings regarding her mother come to the surface. It is quickly revealed that, despite her magical prowess and her desperation for her mother's attention, Gwendolyn has largely ignored Lilith for most of her life. Upon learning that their mother has been in regular contact with Eda, Lilith sinks into a depressive episode and indulges with King by drowning her sorrows in illicit ice cream Eda bought from the Night Market. The two commiserate on the lack of parental affection they received. When King reveals that Gwendolyn and Luz have set out to cure Eda without her, the emotional toil this takes on Lilith activates her curse, which is only exacerbated when she realizes all the elixir in the house has been stolen.

Lilith and Gwendolyn S2 EP04 2 Gwendolyn feeling guilty for not giving Lilith the attention she deserved.

She is powerless to stop her subsequent transformation, and as the Raven Beast, she attacks Eda while her sister is in her cursed form. After gaining the upper hand in her internal struggle with the Owl Beast, however, Eda is able to come to her senses and subdue Lilith with their mother's help. Apologetically, Gwendolyn soothes Lilith as her cursed form weeps, calming her long enough for Luz to administer the elixir, returning her and Eda to their original state.

Lilith and Hooty S2 EP04 Hooty devastated at Lilith having to leave the Owl House.

Finally on good terms with her mother, Lilith concedes that she's responsible for Eda's curse, for which Gwendolyn is understanding. On her mother's invitation, Lilith decides to move back home with her to make up for lost time and reconnect with her and Eda's father, much to Hooty's dismay. Lilith promises that they can remain pen-pals, to which Hooty laments that he cannot hold a pen.[4] Hooty eventually resolves this by using a typewriter to keep in touch with her.[15]

A historic breakthrough Elsewhere and Elsewhen - 021 Lilith celebrating her new job as a curator.

Despite her outlaw status, Lilith manages to land a job as curator of the Supernatural Museum of History, and she, with some of her friends, celebrates the occasion. However, she is jealous of her old mentor, Flora D'splora, and vows to come up with an impressive exhibit. Initially, she planned on making an exhibit about the architectural history behind Deadwardian balusters, but Luz easily convinces her to make an exhibit on Time pools instead. Lilith mentions that she had a device to detect time pools when she was younger, but it lacked a sufficient power source. Luz brings Lilith a sample of Titan's Blood to power the device and allow it to function as intended.

Elsewhere and Elsewhen - 421 Lilith and Luz surprised by the kindness of those who lived during the Savage Ages.

Lilith and Luz spend some time searching for the pools, and eventually, they manage to find the location. The pools are revealed to be under the sand, and an ecstatic Lilith takes note of her findings. The two travel back to the Deadwardian Era, where after disguising themselves, head into town. Lilith warns Luz to be careful, as they are in the Savage Ages; however, the residents are friendly and the two witness them helping each other out. After getting over the shock, the two ask around for Philip Wittebane, but find no leads until they stumble upon him being harassed by two denizens. They help him as the assailants retreat. Using the fake names of Luzura and Dirtrude, they ally with Philip and join him on his latest expedition.

Elsewhere and Elsewhen - 935 Lilith about to punch Philip in the nose.

As they walk, Luz shows Philip her light glyph, which he has not discovered, and he compliments her, making Lilith uneasy at the familiarity of his tone. The human then takes the two to a cave, where he creates an elaborate glyph combination that sends him, Luz, and Lilith to the Titan's head. Philip tricks Lilith into unlocking the door he has been trying to enter, and she is dragged inside by a Stonesleeper. Upon escaping, she and Luz fight it while Philip digs up a mirror and teleports away. Once the Stonesleeper is tamed, Lilith and Luz ride it and catch up to Philip. He tries to get them to work with him, but Lilith punches him in the nose, urging him to stay angry. After that, Lilith watches Deadwardian balusters being made before she and Luz return home through the time pools. When they return to The Owl House and explain their adventures in the Deadwardian Era to Eda, she is shocked, as she believed that time pools were a myth.[16]

Preparing for the Day of Unity O Titan, Where Art Thou - 235 Lilith and Eda upon learning that King is a Titan.

A week before the Day of Unity, Lilith visits the Owl House after learning about Luz entering the Emperor's mindscape. When Hooty regurgitates a letter for King, Lilith talks Eda into letting him, Luz, and Hooty go to the coordinates, citing that she has been there and found nothing. While the three are away, Lilith consoles Eda over her worries for the children, but soon, the Clawthorne sisters are forced to flee when Coven Scouts swarm the Owl House.[17] They retreat to the Knee, with Lilith leaving a clue for Luz, King, and Hooty to join them later without Eda knowing. The three reunite with the sisters and inform them that King is a Titan. Lilith is amazed by the news, and starts treating King like a god, despite the others and King himself advising her to treat him as she usually does. After Luz and Eda try to rescue some of their possessions from the Emperor's Coven, King goes missing and Lilith and Hooty attempt to discover his whereabouts. Upon finding him hanging out with Steve, Lilith addresses King as if he were a god, but he rebuffs her and demands she treat him the same as always. Steve even questions her habit of worshiping authority figures, suggesting she goes to therapy. The four later meet up with Luz, Eda, and the CATs to form a plan for the Day of Unity.[18]

King's Tide (345) Lilith wishing Eda luck in sabotaging the Draining Spell.

Hours before the eclipse that triggers the Draining Spell, the CATs decide to have Eda take Raine's place with the other Coven Heads by masquerading as them and being branded with the bard sigil. Lilith tries to volunteer herself for the task instead, but Eda declines, noting that she has better experience with her curse compared to Lilith's short time with her own curse.[19] Lilith joins the CATs as they journey to the head and wishes Eda luck; however, they are found out and Lilith and Hooty are restrained as Raine is taken to the circle for the Draining Spell.[20]

Planning to Overthrow the Collector Lilith hugs puppet Hooty Season 3 Episode 2 Lilith hugging a puppet Hooty.

After the Collector stops the Draining Spell, Lilith and Hooty try to save King, only to be turned into puppets by the Collector. At an unknown point, King convinces the Collector to restore Lilith to normal, and she hides out in Eda's room within the Archive House, brewing elixirs for her. She is overjoyed when King brings Hooty, but she and Eda reject King's suggestion of restoring him as well, believing it to be too risky. After doing research, they learn that Titan magic can cancel out the Collector's magic. As she and Eda suggest sealing the Collector in another tablet, King refuses, instead opting to try and reason with the Collector and help him see the error of his ways.

Watching and Dreaming - 751 Lilith and her parents as puppets tormenting Eda.

Lilith is later turned back into a puppet and was used to taunt Eda in her worst nightmares until Luz used a light glyph to wake her up. Lilith was later placed by Amelia and Cat in the Archives and spotted by Amity. Lilith is later rescued and turned back to normal by the Collector, where she is very enthusiastically greeted by Steve, who hugs her. Afterwards, the Collector takes her, Amity, and Camila to the Owl House and she hugs Eda. Shortly after, the Collector turns Hooty back to normal and the two joyfully), and later the loss of her magic, despite Eda's reassurances that neither was her fault. This sense of guilt would traumatically increase, however, after discovering the truth about Belos' identity and the role she inadvertently played in his rise to power, finding the Collector, and nearly wiping out all of witch and demon-kind on the Day of Unity. Following this, Luz's optimism was increasingly worn down by the traumas she endured and the constant blame she placed on herself for them, causing her to become a much more hardened and serious person who was determined to end Belos' evil even at the cost of her own life.

The Collector would rather befriend people than destroy them. He captured Eda, a confident, rebellious, and sassy tall grey haired women in her late . Her vast skills and aptitude in witchcraft give her a brash streak, as she proudly declares her power and is openly defiant of authorities, going as far as knocking a guard unconscious and flying off to avoid getting caught. While Eda tends to act immature for her age, and mischievous at times, it's shown that she has a caring side to her and she is willing to protect the people she holds most dear, such as when she protects Luz multiple times, being close to a mother figure for her, as well as swallowing her pride when she realizes that she's being unreasonable and that Luz is miserable not being around her new friends and only having a limited palette with learning about magic, and enrolling her in Hexside. During the Day of Unity, whilst attempting to save King from the Collector, she lost control of her curse and attacked, resulting in the Collector holding her captive in the Archive House.

The Collector is part of a species called collectors. Little is known about collectors, but it appears they are a celestial race connected with magic and space, giving them abilities that allow them to manipulate reality. According to the Collector's book, collectors are long-lived species whose goal is to observe the passing of time and all life within and to collect and seal up members of each species in order to preserve them eternally. If they encounter resistance during their collecting, however, they have a known policy to, "clean the planet and scorch the air", i.e., planetary annihilation. A specific group of members of this race is referred to as "the Archivists".

They are, evidently, one of the most powerful magical races, their immense power only rivaled by the potent magic of another race, titans, whose magic has the ability to cancel out that of collectors', as was discovered by the Archivists when they sent the Collector to the Demon Realm on their behalf (with the Collector under the guise that this was a game). The collectors would develop a rivalry with the titan race, believing such a powerful species to be a threat to their affairs.[3] It remains unclear as to how influential collectors and their quarrel with titans were, as there exists trace evidence of collectors in the modern day. However, murals of collectors inside the Archive House depict collectors locked in a battle with titans and donning skulls of fallen titans as they fought. To ensure their purge was successful, the Archivists wiped out the titans one by one until only two remained, those being the Titan and his unborn egg, which hatched into King.

The outcome of the collector-titan war ultimately resulted in the near-extinction of the titan race, whose strewn bodies became landmasses found across the Demon Realm. However, the current status of other collectors remains unclear, as only the youngest Collector was trapped by the Titan in the In Between Realm. Around the time of this conflict, some ancient witches came to worship this young Collector as the huntsmen of titans (calling him the "Grand Huntsman"), and adopted the role of Titan Trappers using titan-based attire inspired by collectors.

In the present, the Collector was freed from the In Between Realm by the last remaining titan, King. He did not continue the Collector's goals.

History

The Collector hails from a race of celestial beings who seek to archive and catalog all life in the Demon Realm. Although little is known about his nature, it is shown that the Collector's child-like interests stood out from other collectors, whose ways he held in disdain and went as far as to omit them in a Collector guidebook. At an unknown point in time, the collectors encountered another magical race, the titans. Fearing the titans' power, a group of the Collector's siblings, known as the Archivists, sent the Collector down to the Demon Realm under the impression that he would be playing with the titans. Upon arriving in the world, the Titans welcomed the Collector and quickly bonded with him, and he took a liking to their kids because of how cute they were. Unbeknownst to the Collector however, the Archivists slowly took out all the other titans, which left the only remaining titan furious at the Collector, believing he was the one responsible.

Afterwards, the Collector was imprisoned inside the In-Between Realm by the last Titan, to keep the Collector from getting to his son, King. An ancient tribe of witches known as Titan Trappers would come to worship the Collector as the "Grand Huntsman" and slayer of the titans. Their leader, Bill, claimed to be working with or for the Collector and further proclaimed the Collector wants them to find the last of the titans, as only it has the power to free the Collector from his prison.

During the 1660s, a human named Philip Wittebane (, he arrived in the Boiling Isles from Gravesfield, Connecticut during the Deadwardian Era (the mid-1600s in the Human Realm) in pursuit of his brother, Caleb, who was spirited away to the realm by the witch Evelyn. Keeping a written record of his experiences on the Boiling Isles, Philip endeavored to find a way to return to the Human Realm with Caleb, but he would eventually murder his own brother for falling in love with the witch. Due to the harrowing events emboldening his inherent intense hatred of witches and magic, Philip would then conspire to eliminate the Isles and its inhabitants as a whole in an attempt to save humanity from their supposed wickedness.

In order to carry through with this plot, Philip would take on a new identity as a witch named Belos. He claimed to the witches that he had the ability to speak to the isle, that they were misusing magic by mixing it, and that he was the only one who had the right to do so, convincing them and creating a system of covens to restrict the witches' use of magic and knowledge, and those who resisted were declared "wild witches" who would face great punishments. Sometime later he was named emperor of the islands, gaining the respect and devotion of all, unaware of his deception.

As emperor, he ruled the isles from his castle with the protection of his coven and his creation, the Golden Guard Hunter, where he would prepare for the Day of Unity, an event where he hoped to accomplish all his goals against the witches, while under the ruse it would bring a paradise to everyone on the isles. When a human named Luz Noceda happened upon the isles by fate, Belos sought her to claim the portal that brought her to the realm. Although only succeeding in obtaining the fragments of the portal, Belos started reconstructing it in secret and launched his campaign for the Day of Unity at the same time, ensuring the Demon Realm would perish by the time the portal returns him home. Belos' plot ultimately fails upon the release of the Collector, who destroys Belos' physical form, although Belos' remains make it through the portal at the last minute by latching onto Hunter during the escape.

With his return to the Human Realm leaving him in a weakened state, Belos bided his time before he could return to the Demon Realm and resume his plan to end all life there. His path led him to Hunter once more, whom he briefly possessed, and despite Luz and her friends' attempts to thwart him, Belos managed to travel back to the Demon Realm. However, as his monstrous form continued to fall apart, Belos was forced to possess a new host, Raine Whispers, to survive) sought the Collector, as he was said to have the information, he needed to construct a portal back to the Human Realm following his incidental transfer to the Demon Realm. To do this, he needed to acquire the Collector's tablet found in the ruins of the Titan's skull, except that it was guarded by a Stonesleeper. After a couple of times, including attempting to make Luz Noceda and Lilith Clawthorne sacrifice to the beast, Philip retrieves the mirror, although he is wounded by the infuriated duo. Philip later activates the mirror, which emits an animated symbol of the Collector, allowing Philip to communicate with the Collector.

Philip made a bargain with the Collector: in exchange for Philip freeing the Collector from his prison, the Collector will help Philip with his goal of eradicating the inhabitants of the Boiling Isles. The Collector would appear to Philip in the form of a shadow so long as the tablet was intact and taught Philip all he knew about magic, which Philip would eventually master. As time goes on, Philip adopts the image of Emperor Belos, and together with the Collector, they concoct their complex plot of draining all life on the Boiling Isles on the Day of Unity.

In the present day, the Collector pays a visit to Belos to check on his progress with the Draining Spell. Belos assures the Collector the Day of Unity will come, right before Hunter arrives to deliver Belos the Portal Key after his solo mission at Eclipse Lake. Belos coldly dismisses the boy but takes the key. After Hunter leaves, the Collector comes out from hiding and jokes with Belos about his doubts about Hunter's loyalty, eventually questioning Belos if the false purpose he gives Hunter is another way of tormenting the boy as he has with previous grimwalkers. Belos disagrees with the Collector and states that it hurts him every time the clones turn against him.

Not long after, King begins to form a psychic connection with the Collector after the Titan Trappers perform a ritual with him on a second, albeit shattered, tablet belonging to the Collector.[6] King enters the In Between Realm in his dreams where he finds the Collector imprisoned inside an orb. The Collector goes into an insane ramble on how he's almost free and how he won't be alone anymore. When King calls out to the entity, the Collector's silhouette appears on the orb, where he notices King. King backs up only for the Collector to begin panicking and begging him not to leave, but King wakes up anyway.

Later, the Collector accompanies Belos as the latter sets up the functioning Portal Door in the Titan's skull, exactly where he found the Collector's tablet centuries ago. The Collector sadistically asks Belos if he's nervous about returning home, bringing up the fact that the Human Realm must've changed drastically and that Philip himself is barely human anymore because of how he extended his lifespan. Angered, Belos tries to attack the Collector by morphing his arm but misses.

The Collector rejoices at the fact he will soon be free from his prison, stating there are "so many games" he wants to play once liberated. He adds that, if he and Belos require a third player, another grimwalker could be made; Belos rejects this idea, saying he will only make another once Hunter is dealt with. The Collector then painfully begs Belos to release him early, whining that the human did promise. Belos also rejects this, saying that the Draining Spell must first work, which the Collector himself promised in the bargain. The entity grumpily remarks that Belos should have more faith in pinky swears. The Emperor reassures the Collector that his patience will be rewarded, stating that the Day of Unity is about to begin. The Collector watches with Belos as witches from all over the Isles approach the Titan's head, grinning widely.

King once more hears the Collector's thoughts; he is talking to himself and expressing doubt that Belos will uphold his end of the bargain. The Collector desperately tries to convince himself that the Emperor is his friend, but notes that the two of them have spent centuries "playing [Belos'] game", and angrily states he wants to play a new game.

As the Day of Unity begins, the Collector feels excited to gain freedom once more but Belos reveals that he won't be releasing him, both because he's only using the Titan's blood from the key to activate the Portal and because he doesn't want anyone else learning about their powerful spells, and instead drops his tablet down a pit in the Titan's skull. Later, while Luz and her allies battle Belos in his monster form, an equally betrayed Kikimora leads King down to the pit. There, he makes a deal with the Collector to free them and play a game of "Owl House" in exchange for ending Belos' Draining Spell. King uses his titan powers to break the Collector's mirror, allowing him to escape it and regain his physical form.

Now free, the Collector manages to stop Belos' attack on Luz and her friends, stating he wants to play a game of tag with Belos. The Collector pulls Belos closer to him, stating he is "it" before launching the tyrant into the wall above the door to Belos' chamber, seemingly killing the Emperor. Noticing Luz and her friends, the Collector asks if they need a head start, though he is stopped by King, who reminds him that they need a lot more players if they want to play Owl House. The Collector walks over to the exterior balcony, using his powers to enhance his vision, and spots the dying inhabitants of the Boiling Isles at the site of the Draining Spell. Using his powers, the Collector uses his finger to move the overhead moon out of its position, ending the eclipse and stopping the spell.

With everything nearly ready, the Collector states that if they are going to play Owl House, they would need one before using his powers to rip apart the Titan's skull, forming a spiraling mass of debris around him. While he does this, Luz and her friends flee to the portal to the Human Realm, though the Collector stops King from escaping, reminding him that he promised to play with him. Nonetheless, King manages to ensure Luz and the others escape through the portal before it is destroyed and he is pulled back towards the Collector.

After the Collector pulls King back, he creates the Archive House from the Titan's skull, a place for him and King to live. King explains the "Owl House" game to the Collector, saying it's kind of like playing pretend. He starts turning people into puppets, much to King's dismay, to help with the game and creates spies to help with this. He captures Eda, and stores her in a room guarded by puppets, under the impression that she's in Owl Beast form and can't change back, despite this not being the case.

The Collector starts playing with King and his puppets, acting out scenes that very loosely depict events in the show. Luz describes it as "a twisted version of her life". At one point in time, Terra Snapdragon played Eda, but later got turned into a puppet due to "not being very nice". King tries to get him to stop, but he refuses and they head back to the Archive House where he has Odalia Blight put away the puppets and serve Eda pizza bagels. He and King then return to his room which appears to resemble a pocket-universe with stars and nebulas. They then float up to their beds, which are placed on a planet-like structure that is also floating in the middle of the room. He then suggests to King that they play a game of "Capture the Flag" with everyone on the Isles and put the losers on the moon.

King is nervous about the idea, pointing out that people might have trouble breathing on the moon. The Collector dismisses this concern, saying they can hold their breath. The Collector then claps, causing a large storybook made from stone slabs to fall from above and land in front of King. He asks King to read him a story, and King obliges, pushing the stack of stone slabs to fall backward and wrap around the planet structure in front of him, and opens the book to read. King reads the first paragraph and looks at the second one, but the Collector hurriedly asks him to not read the next part and skip to where he "fixed it"; i.e. scratched it out and wrote a new one.

When King eventually turns off the lamp, the Collector asks King if he could sleep with Francois, but King is hesitant, as he only lets one other person hold him. The Collector realizes whom he refers to and exhibits brief envy toward the human girl, before asking King if Francois could at least be left on the nightstand to watch over him, as he doesn't like being alone. King obliges, and the Collector is satisfied and goes to sleep.
