Texas is a skilled and stoic operator from Penguin Logistics, known for her exceptional single-combat abilities and her strong presence despite a quiet demeanor. Assigned as a liaison to Rhodes Island, she has assisted in numerous operations with unwavering reliability. Though she often handles Originium-containing packages, medical evaluations confirm she remains uninfected. Texas speaks little, not because she hides anything, but because she simply feels no need to say more than necessary. While she gives off an air of solitude, she’s frequently found alongside her fellow Penguin Logistics members, especially Exusiai, Croissant, and Sora—her chosen family.

Her fighting style is intense and unconventional, breaking from formal combat norms. Beneath her calm exterior lies a belief that weaponry exists solely to kill—an outlook shaped by a turbulent past. Subtle signs suggest she is connected to the once-powerful and now-obscure Texas mafia family of Siracusa. Despite the mystery surrounding her lineage, Texas has never shown interest in explaining her origins, not out of secrecy but indifference. She's not fleeing from her past, but she isn’t chasing it either. Her current life—filled with missions, colleagues, and simple routines—is what she has chosen to embrace.

Texas’s return to Rhodes Island with Vigil and Penance shocked many who knew of her ties to Siracusa. Her association with these figures, as well as her connections to Lappland and Giovanna, represents different paths she could have taken: Lappland embodies rage and chaos, while Giovanna symbolizes reluctant submission. Texas understands she might have ended up like either of them had she not walked away from her former life. That decision came with guilt and unanswered questions, but it also led her to the life she lives now. For Texas, the search for meaning isn’t what drives her; it’s the act of living itself that matters.

Following events in Nuova Volsinii, Texas returned to Lungmen with Penguin Logistics. Though she visits Siracusa occasionally, she has no intention of staying or reclaiming the legacy of the Texas family. She prefers to keep her distance from power, even as Siracusa teeters on the edge of change. Her loyalty lies in a promise she made to Vigil: to keep fighting, not for glory or heritage, but until the nation either changes or she herself is gone. She doesn’t see herself as a hero—just a person acting on principle.

Despite the action around her, Texas remains the most grounded among her group. While Sora’s fame rises and others pursue ambitious projects, Texas is content with the bonds they share and the life they’ve built together. Her story came full circle when Emperor revealed that Penguin Logistics was founded after he saw Texas’s potential during her lowest point. Watching her confront the ghosts of her past, he gave her a new path—one that turned a wandering soul into a quiet, steadfast force. Texas doesn’t seek recognition or leadership, only a life she can call her own, surrounded by the people who make it worth living.

On the surface, Cellinia Texas appears to be a quiet, easygoing courier from Penguin Logistics, often seen alongside her fellow employees in day-to-day operations. However, few know that beneath her composed exterior lies a dark and complex history. She is actually a member of the once-powerful Famiglia Texas—a mafia family that played a pivotal role in modernizing Siracusa. Though born in Columbia, she was trained by her grandfather, Salvadore, to live as a true Siracusan. To cement this, she spent her childhood in Siracusa, living with the Saluzzo family and becoming familiar with the mafia world, even forming early relationships with major figures like Lappland and Giovanna Rossati.

Texas eventually became the only survivor of her family. A deadly conflict split the famiglia between followers of her father, Giuseppe, and her grandfather, Salvadore. In 1092, Giuseppe assassinated Salvadore, an act that was seen as rebellion against the ruling Signora Sicilia. This betrayal triggered a brutal purge that destroyed the entire famiglia. Disillusioned and exhausted by the mafia’s bloodshed, Cellinia killed her own father, set fire to the Texas estate, and fled after a violent encounter with Lappland. She was sheltered by the Bellones and made a pact with Zaaro, the Signore dei Lupi who oversaw them, allowing her to cut ties with the mafia. From then on, she became a “lone wolf,” no longer bound by her past in the eyes of Siracusa.

In her new life, Cellinia reinvented herself completely. She adopted a calm and quiet demeanor, gave up smoking, and developed a habit of eating Pocky sticks instead—symbolic of her attempt to leave behind the chaos she once lived in. Alongside Emperor, she co-founded Penguin Logistics, building it into a successful operation. She became an admired figure, even inspiring Sora and forming strong bonds with colleagues like Lemuel. Despite the relative peace she enjoys now, the pact she made in the past still looms over her. She knows that one day she must return to Siracusa to truly sever her connection to the past. Lappland, who has an obsessive fixation on her due to their history, often reminds her of this burden. Fortunately, their turbulent relationship has eased somewhat following the events of I Portatori dei Velluti, bringing a sense of uneasy stability to that chapter of her life.

Lappland is a dangerously unhinged yet strangely charismatic Siracusan Lupo, whose violent past and erratic behavior have made her one of the most unpredictable Operators at Rhodes Island. Officially listed as a special operations combatant, Lappland is both feared and closely monitored, not only because of her lethal combat abilities but also due to her severe Oripathy. Her infection has progressed to the point of noticeable physical mutation, and while this has enhanced her combat prowess in unique ways, it has also intensified her mental instability. She fights with raw talent rather than training, wielding an eastern-style sword alongside powerful Arts, and is known for her ability to rapidly identify and exploit enemy weaknesses—making her a terrifying opponent in battle, but a challenge to coordinate with in a team.

Behind her bloodlust and chaotic behavior lies a deeply rooted personal tragedy. Lappland is the disowned daughter of Alberto Saluzzo, don of the powerful Saluzzo mafia famiglia. Her madness and obsession with violence, combined with her insubordination during the purge of the Texas famiglia in 1092, led her to be cast out and branded a “lone wolf”—an outcast among the Lupo. During the purge, she became fixated on Cellinia Texas, the last surviving member of the rival famiglia, and defied her father’s orders by attempting to duel her. This led to the Saluzzos suffering heavy losses and marked the beginning of Lappland’s long-standing obsession with Texas. Since then, she has viewed Texas as a kind of unfinished business—part rival, part idol, and perhaps the only person capable of truly challenging or understanding her.

Lappland’s relationship with Texas is at the heart of her character. The two share a long, tangled history dating back to childhood, where they were competitive but not quite enemies. Texas, despite being Columbian, adapted better to Siracusan culture than Lappland, sowing early seeds of resentment. Later, Lappland watched Texas destroy her own family’s legacy in an act of rebellion that left a lasting impression. That moment inspired Lappland to do the same—turn against her own father and the Siracusan traditions that shaped her. Even now, she seeks out Texas not to destroy her, but to provoke a response, to see if the “old Texas” still exists, and perhaps to engage in a final, meaningful confrontation. Yet, she has never truly tried to kill Texas; on the contrary, she has protected her when their goals aligned.

Her obsession, however, is not limited to Texas. Lappland’s personality is laced with contradictions—outwardly polite, often engaging in gallows humor and casual conversation, yet always carrying a disturbing undertone. Many at Rhodes Island find her terrifying even at her most well-behaved. She has shown violent outbursts and moments of cold brutality, such as her involvement in civil unrest during the Carnevale in Nuova Volsinii, where she openly admitted to crimes including inciting riots, smuggling weapons into a parade, and aiding others in acts of revenge. Her rationale? She simply thought the festival needed more excitement. She shows no remorse—only a mix of amusement and nihilism.

Despite being banned from Volsinii, Lappland returned to Rhodes Island unannounced, slipping back into operations as if nothing had happened. Surprisingly, her recent interactions with Texas have taken on a new tone. Rather than hostility, the two now share quiet, almost casual conversations, suggesting some level of mutual understanding—or at least temporary peace. Observers remain unsure whether this signals a true reconciliation or is merely a pause in their ongoing psychological duel. Regardless, their encounters have grown less volatile, providing a rare glimpse of calm in Lappland’s otherwise chaotic presence.

Ultimately, Lappland is a contradiction—part madwoman, part tragic figure. She is a fighter driven by obsession, haunted by a past she both resents and clings to, and disconnected from any sense of belonging. Cast out by her family and unable to form lasting bonds, she walks a solitary path fueled by madness, violence, and a deep yearning for meaning. Whether she finds that meaning through Texas, revenge, or self-destruction remains to be seen. But those who deal with Lappland do so knowing one truth: her madness cannot be healed—only managed, for as long as possible.

Il Signori dei Lupi are a pack of Beast Lords in Siracusa. Living in the Siracusan wastelands, Il Signori dei Lupi represents the will of the wilderness. For millennia, Il Signori have been playing the "great game", a battle royale where they hunt down each other with the last one standing deemed worthy to claim the title as the leader, or "Alpha" of the pack. Since il Signori are immortal due to being Beast Lords, they instead decide who would win the game by having individuals acting as their proxies known as Wolf Fangs, or simply Fangs, hunt down and kill each other. Il Signori are permitted to do anything in the great game with one exception: do not involve humans other than their own Fangs into the game, including interfering with their affairs. Any Signore who breaks this rule will be considered to have lost the game by default and banished from the pack.

Lappland's relations:

Alberto Saluzzo: Father, disliked, revels in the fact she has helped convict him.

Although they may not say, they have come to appreciate the stability of each other's presence. Lappland is calmer towards Texas, but still likes to egg her on sometimes. Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals Inc. or simply Rhodes Island (R.I.) is made up almost exclusively of the Infected, R.I. legally operates as a pharmaceutical company that provides care and treatment to the Infected, but due to the wide variety of Operators in its employ with combat skills, they are more of a paramilitary organization who strives to fight for the betterment of the Infected. Based on the eponymous landship, Rhodes Island dedicates themselves to develop treatments and a possible cure to Oripathy which has plagued Terra since the advent of Catastrophes. R.I. is also expert in dealing in matters and problems associated with Oripathy, notably the rampant social discriminations against the Infected, which is why R.I. possesses a paramilitary force to provide security for their personnel and patients, though R.I. can (and will) offer their service as a pseudo-PMC should the need arise. Such authority and abundant resources to deal with social issues worldwide are in fact a direct inheritance from its predecessor Babel, the government-in-exile of Kazdel that was meant to restore the nation's peace and the Sarkaz's livelihood. As a matter of fact, it is hard to say that whether R.I. is actually a non-state actor in the guise of a humanitarian organization, and many nations have been doubting R.I.'s supposed political neutrality given its origin.

Oripathy, also known as Multiple Originium Infection Syndrome or "Stone Disease", is a progressive, terminal "disease" in the world of Arknights, caused by direct or prolonged exposure to Originium. Individuals with Oripathy are referred to as the "Infected".

Originium Arts or simply Arts is the umbrella term for abilities to manipulate and transform matter and energy using the power provided by Originium in the world of Arknights. It is the primary "magic system," or more appropriately "super-science system," in the setting. The ability to use Arts seems to be natural for Terrans, and many people are at least capable of very basic forms of Arts. Those who are highly capable in Arts (e.g. to an extent that they are combat effective with Arts alone) are known as Casters (not to be confused with the Operator class of the same name). As a matter of fact, many Operators that are not strictly of the Caster class are capable of using Arts.

Siracusa, officially known as the Confederate City-States of Siracusa, is a nation composed of 22 semi-autonomous city-states governed largely by twelve powerful mafia families, known collectively as the Dodici Famiglie. Though technically a confederation, true control lies in the hands of these families, unified under the authority of a single Capo dei capi—currently Signora Sicilia. Located on Terra and bordering Kazdel, Laterano, and Leithanien, Siracusa is home predominantly to Lupus and Vulpo beastkin. The roots of Siracusa's mafia stretch back to ancient tribal traditions, inspired by the myth of the She-Wolf and her feuding children, whose conflicts eventually gave rise to the earliest famiglie. Over time, these families became organized, hierarchical units forged by necessity in response to internal power struggles and external threats, such as the predatory “Signori dei Lupi.” These tribal origins evolved into the complex mafia system seen today. Historically, Siracusa was absorbed as a Kreis (district) by the Leithanian empire, though it was politically and socially marginalized. Eventually, during a period of Leithanian weakness, Siracusa revolted. In 967, public demonstrations—symbolized by the destruction of Leithanian emblems—triggered a civil war that ended with Siracusa gaining independence in 979. However, independence led to anarchy. A suicide bombing in the Confederate Capitol and widespread mafia infighting plunged Siracusa into a seventy-year period of chaos, with the Dodici Famiglie battling for control through assassinations and city takeovers. Order was restored in 1039 by Signora Sicilia, a formidable leader educated abroad in Laterano. Rather than relying solely on force, she unified the families through religious authority from the Lateran Church and a legal system called Pistole e Ordine ("Guns and Order"). Her rule established the Grey Hall as a center of governance and introduced a balance of power between the famiglie and civil government through the Confederate Council and Supreme Court. Today, Siracusa enjoys a fragile peace, with Sicilia’s system maintaining control over the mafia while protecting civilian interests. However, tension simmers beneath the surface. Some criticize the legitimacy of Sicilia’s rule due to her unofficial political standing, and resistance to the entrenched famiglia system still lingers among the youth and reformists. Internationally, Siracusa’s influence has extended beyond its borders, particularly in Columbia, where the famiglie built smuggling empires—though these were mostly dismantled following the 1092 purge of the rebellious Famiglia Texas. Despite the current calm, Siracusa remains a nation shaped by centuries of bloodlines, betrayal, and the uneasy coexistence between tradition and change.

Siesta, formally known as the Siestan Commonwealth, is a Terran country on a peninsula in the Sea of Clariside bordering Sargon, Victoria, and Iberia. It is an independent city-state republic with a city council that is under the nominal jurisdiction of Columbia as its commonwealth. Siesta is also well-known for the scenery of its tropical beaches and its proxy to a volcano that holds a vast reserve of obsidian deposits. Siesta began as a Columbian trading outpost meant to establish diplomacy with Iberia, but the Profound Silence severed its ties from its homeland which in turn stirred the locals' desire to retain their independence and self-rule. As Victoria attempted to annex the country, Siesta decided to bring itself under Columbian jurisdiction, yet it still retains de facto independence in terms of diplomacy and sovereignty, preserving the only independent city-state on Terra. In recent decades, Siesta greatly prospers thanks to its flourishing tourism, though a natural disaster in 1097 has forced the city-state to migrate onto mobile platforms. Landmarks: Ultramodern District: The heart of New Siesta. It was completed in two years from conception to investment, making it one of the fastest-built high-rise city plates in Terra. It houses various luxury restaurants, as well as three mega business complexes and a "volcanic style" municipal plaza built in collaboration of eleven different artists and architects. The core skyscrapers and buildings are positioned in a way they resemble a volcanic cone. Seaside Fashion Street: Also known as Siestan Fashion Street or simply Fashion Street, a district conformed by some of the relocated stores and businesses from Old Siesta's Seaside Street, though not many people come to travel there. It is said that remodeling plans are being discussed. Obsidian Hot Springs Hotel: Owned by Pelipper Brown, it is a resort equipped with artificial hot springs, specifically engineered based on recompiled and analyzed data from various natural hot springs, delivered through the ecological stations. These hot springs, powered directly by the city' power layers, bring various beneficial effects such as including immune system boosting and muscle relaxation. Volcano Museum of Siesta: A volcanology museum and research center where Adele Keller works as a curator, built as per Herman's request a year ago. Considered the first museum on Terra to be completely dedicated to volcanoes thanks to Siesta's constant efforts on the field of volcanology, it also displays various research notes, photos, and salvaged pieces of equipment from the late Katia & Magna Naumann, as Keller intended the museum as a last memento to the couple's legacy. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday at 9:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m., and often prepares activities for the visitors. White Volcano: A restaurant owned by Harley and her son Enis which is named after a supposed natural phenomenon where Mount Siesta turns white.
