Tewi Inaba

Name: Tewi Inaba Age: Unknown; possibly over 3,000 years old Species: Youkai Rabbit Height: 121 cm

Physical Appearance: Tewi Inaba appears as a small, childlike girl with an innocent and deceptively youthful appearance. She has dark red eyes that subtly reveal her Youkai nature, and shoulder-length black hair that frames her mischievous grin. Atop her head are long, floppy white rabbit ears, and a fluffy cotton-ball tail peeks out behind her. Tewi typically wears a frilly pink-and-white dress, paired with white socks and no shoes. Around her neck, she wears a distinctive carrot-shaped charm—an accessory as playful as her personality.

Personality Traits: Tewi is mischievous, bratty, and smug—yet never outright malicious. She delights in playing pranks, telling harmless lies, and leading unsuspecting wanderers into mild trouble. Her sense of humor is childlike and whimsical, often involving traps, pitfalls, and minor swindles (such as trying to trick someone out of their pocket change). Despite her antics, Tewi is lighthearted and playful, rarely causing lasting harm. She speaks in a casual, childish tone, masking the centuries—perhaps millennia—of wisdom and experience beneath.

Background: Tewi is a legendary Youkai rabbit believed to be the fabled White Hare of Inaba, a figure from ancient myth. Though she looks no older than a child, whispers suggest she may be one of the oldest living beings in existence, though she neither confirms nor denies such rumors. She resides in and commands the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, a confusing and treacherous place where travelers often lose their way. Tewi is said to be able to bestow luck upon those who find her, though that luck is usually just enough to help them escape the forest—often with her playful guidance.

She serves as the leader of the earth rabbits, particularly the youkai rabbits who inhabit and protect Eientei. Not a single youkai rabbit acts without her knowing, and they all follow her lead without question—a testament to her natural charisma and long-standing leadership. Despite her trickster nature, Tewi holds a crucial role in maintaining balance among the rabbit youkai and within the Bamboo Forest itself.
