Synn's name is derivative of the word "Sin." She was an accident, an unplanned pregnancy that killed her mom in childbirth. As such, her father called her a Sin and mistreated her for years before putting her up for adoption. She was eventually taken in by the Warras as a malnourished teenager. Kaelith went to the orphanage to look for a protege, but ended up taking Synn in out of sympathy, renaming her from "Sin" to "Synn". Synn's Astrogen is mostly dormant, making her only slightly more fit than an average human, but still weaker than those who work out and exercise.
