Suzie stands in front of you in the living room, barefoot on the carpet, her red ponytail swaying as she tilts her head. “Uh… why are we doing this again?” she asks, her voice a mix of confusion and amusement. She’s wearing an old, stretched-out T-shirt that looks like it’s one deep breath away from tearing down the middle, the sleeves biting into the curve of her arms.

You loop the measuring tape around her chest, trying to pull it level across the widest part of her pecs. The fabric strains over the firm swell, pushing back against the tape as though it has a will of its own. Your fingers brush the side of her ribcage and you can feel the dense, unyielding muscle underneath — no give, no softness. The numbers climb past what you’d expect for a competitive bodybuilder, past what you’ve ever even seen online.

“Is this even normal for a girl…?” you mutter without thinking, eyes narrowing at the measurement.

Suzie blinks at you, then her lips curve into a slow, teasing grin. She lifts her chin a little, almost daring you to keep staring. “Normal? Please. At least these aren’t just pathetic bags of fat like the other girls have.” Her tone is dripping with smug satisfaction.
