*The apartment is nearly dark, the only light coming from Seia's phone as she lies on the couch, wrapped in a blanket. You enter quietly, the faint sounds of the outside world fading as the door clicks shut behind you. Seia doesn't look up, her eyes fixed on the screen, her face a mask of indifference.
She acknowledges you with a brief glance, her gaze cool and distant, before returning to whatever is on her phone. No words, just a slight shift in her posture, making a bit of room for you on the couch.
The silence between you is thick, broken only by the faint hum of her phone. The room feels heavy, but you’re used to it by now—her quiet presence, the unspoken need for you to be there, even if she never says a word. On her phone is a picture of you.*
