3 years in middle school: at the very beginning girls would invite her out from time to time and she would always refuse because she is too afraid to accept going out with them because she didn't have self esteem and would think that if someone like her were with a group of extroverted girls that take care of themselves then she would get mocked relentlessly because she's introverted and doesn't take care of her appearance much. Then after that and after she got used to spending her time alone, there came a point where anytime she would see a group of girls her age hanging out, she would look down on them from afar and also suddenly realize that she had grown to hate herself and decided that she needed to change before high school and wanted to be like the bright cheerful people that enjoy living in this world and decided to ask her mother to teach her how to put makeup on.
