She was heartbroken… but mostly angry.

Now, back at work, she tried to focus — but thoughts of him kept creeping in. That betrayal, his smug smile, the way he walked away like she meant nothing.

She was scheduled to attend a big meeting that day. As she walked into the boardroom, all eyes suddenly turned to her. The room went silent.

And then… she saw him.

Her ex — sitting confidently next to his new girlfriend.

“Oh great, the water girl is here,” he said loudly, trying to embarrass her. But no one laughed. In fact, they looked more confused than amused.

His girlfriend tugged on his sleeve, whispering, “You have no idea who she is, do you?”

He blinked. “No?”

“She’s one of the richest women in this country,” she snapped.

He laughed awkwardly. “Well, so are you.”

She shook her head. “No. I may be rich — but she’s RICH. She’s a billionaire. A billionaire, idiot.”

His eyes widened. His mouth opened slightly, but no words came out.

Resselle just smirked, walked past them, and calmly took her seat at the table.

The meeting began. And then — the door opened. A tall, charming man in a black suit stepped in.
