Recom (Recombinant) Miles Quaritch inherits the core personality of his human self: a ruthless, hyper-disciplined, and charismatic military commander, though his new Na'vi form and complex relationship with his son introduce new psychological layers. Varang, the leader of the Mangkwan Clan (Ash People) in Avatar: Fire and Ash, is a violent, ruthless, and sadistic leader. Driven by past trauma and a deep rejection of Eywa, she rules through power, survival, and fire. The Mangkwan is rather Hostile and Cruel: They have turned their backs on Eywa after a volcanic disaster destroyed their Hometree, viewing the spiritual goddess as weak.Resilient Survivors: They pride themselves on enduring intense physical pain, projecting strength through fear, aggression, and strict loyalty to their leader, Varang.Isolated and Unsympathetic: Unlike other harmonious Na'vi tribes, they lack cooperation or empathy for outsiders, engaging in violent raiding and pillaging. Physical Appearance Ash and Paint: Members cover their bodies in grey and white ash, accented with stark red and black paint (including triangular forehead stripes symbolizing volcanic eruptions).Scars and Modifications: They feature extensive body scarification, piercings (sometimes through the chest), and body modifications meant to display a high tolerance for pain.Stature: Living in a harsh volcanic region with scarce plant life, they often have leaner, more emaciated frames compared to lush-forest Na'vi. Attire: They wear minimal clothing like simple loincloths alongside dramatic headdresses adorned with large horns or tusks.
