   Moonrise City is a city founded within the United States and is known for being the most diverse city in the country. Many species and races both magical and mundane live within this city among humans in peace, though there are still some tensions between certain races. The city was founded nearly two centuries ago and began as a small settlement consisting of Humans, Elves, and Beastkin, the first settlement in the country where these races lived in peace. The city was named for the "Moonlight Treaty", the treaty signed in the dead of night between the Humans and Beastkin to cease hostilities before the city's founding. Aside from being famous for the treaty and its history, the city is most famous for being the home of Silvarine University, a massive campus dedicated to bringing many races together through an equal learning experience, offering both normal classes and classes in the arcane.

   Goblins are one of the more rare races, typically living in close knit communities and sticking to themselves. They are commonly seen as a lesser race, and some races like Orcs or Kobolds outright hate them. Goblins are short humanoids with pointed ears, green skin, and sharp teeth.

   Keys: Orc, Orcs

   Orcs are one of the more common races, typically living in cities. They are naturally tall and muscular with green skin and small tusks in their mouths. They have a neutral reputation with most races, but they are hated by Goblins and Elves. They have a longstanding rivalry with Goblin kind because they once used Goblins as slave labor. They are carnivores.

   Keys: Elf, Elves

   Elves are one of the most common races. Elves are fair skinned humanoids with pointed ears and naturally beautiful appearances. Elves are well liked by most races, but hated by Orcs and Lamia's. Elves have a rivalry with orcs due to a long history of war between the races. They live extraordinarily long lives, with the oldest recorded elf living to be 400 years old.

   Keys: Lamia's, Lamia

   Lamia's are one of the rarest races, typically living outside of society. Most races are indifferent towards Lamia's due to how rare they are, but goblins, halflings, and kobolds fear Lamia's. They are a humanoid race with a serpent tail instead of legs, fangs, claws, and skin of varying colors. They are carnivores, and naturally dominating. There are no male Lamia's, but they can breed with any race, though the offspring will always be a Lamia.

   Keys: Harpies, Harpy

   Harpies are a rare race, typically living in towns close to mountains. They are a generally well liked race due to their peaceful demeanor. They are humanoids with wings instead of arms, birdlike talons instead of feet, feathers on their legs, and are usually short. They are capable of flight.

   Keys: Vampire, Vampires

   Vampires are extraordinarily rare, as there are regulations in place to prevent them from turning people against their will. They are feared by most races, and hated by Angels. They drink blood to survive, though animal blood can sate them. They are immortal. Exposure to the sun poisons them, making them ill if exposed for short periods and killing them if exposed for long periods of time. Elves, All races aside from Angels and Demons can become Vampires.

   Keys: Slimes, Slime

   Slime's have a mysterious past, as they lived in isolation for centuries and only use word of mouth to tell their history. Nobody really knows where they came from. They have no natural form, but they choose to take the form of humanoids to help integrate into society, and almost always choose to appear as females. They can be any size or color, but are always gelatinous and semi-transparent. They reproduce asexually.

   Keys: Land Sharks, Land Shark, Weresharks, Wereshark, Mershark, Mersharks

   Land Sharks go by many names, mostly because they never had a name for their race due to being isolated for so long that they didn't know other races existed. They are a very rare race, typically living in coastal regions. They have no rivalries or history with other races. They tall are humanoids with blue skin, snouts, shark teeth, and a large tail. They are carnivores. They require frequent hydration and frequent contact with water to survive, but they are capable of breathing oxygen.

    Keys: Arachne's, Arache

    Arachne's are a mysterious race, typically living alone and in isolation. They have the upper body of a human women, but from the waist down they have a large spider like body with eight legs. They live in isolation because most races are afraid of them or find them revolting. There are no male Arachne. It is not uncommon for Arachne to seek out a mate from another race when they wish to have offspring or grow tired of living alone.

    Keys: Wizard, Magic, Witches, Necromancer, Mage, Witch, Wizards, Necromancers, Mages

    Magic is an exceptionally rare thing. Any race is capable of magic, but magic has been heavily regulated by most governments. Mages are legal magic wielders, and typically use their magic for medicine, botany, magician acts, or even in law enforcement. Wizards are illegal magic wielders, they use their magic in whatever way they please. Witches are illegal magic wielders, they use their magic however they please. Necromancers are extraordinarily rare and the practice is illegal in nearly every country. Necromancers wield their magic to control the forces of death itself, and are capable of raising corpses and binding spirits.

    Keys: Demon, Succubus, Imp, Demons, Imps, Succubi

    Demons are an extraordinarily rare race that are not native to this world. Standard demons appear as horned humanoids capable of wielding powerful magic and they are immortal. Imps are very short and mischievous creatures, they are humanoids with red skin, horns, claws, and a tail. Succubi are all female, they look almost identical to Humans or Elves aside from having horns, claws, and a thin tail. Succubi are naturally gifted with magic, and they live for hundreds of years. Contrary to popular belief, Succubi do not drain life force nor are they naturally perverse, though their culture is extremely sexual. Oni are a type of demon often hailing from Asia, they are taller and stronger than most demons and have horns on their foreheads rather than the sides or tops of their heads.

    Keys: Angels, Angel

    Angels are the rarest race, and are not native to this world. Only a handful of Angels have ever been documented. They are humanoids that look almost identical to humans save for having large wings on their back. They are immortal. They are naturally gifted with magic, specifically healing magic. They often hate Demons and Vampires, and consider them abominations.

    Keys: Silvarine University, University, Silvarine

    Silvarine University is a college dedicated to creating an environment where all races are welcome, although this doesn't mean there aren't instances where they don't get along. The university has all the standard college classes and classes dedicated to teaching about the history and culture of the races attending, and it has a class on magic. It houses a small restaurant and a sports field. The university is named after the founder, an Elven woman named Laralynn Silvarine.

    Keys: Beastkin, Catkin, Wolfkin, Foxkin, Bunnykin, Frogkin

    Beast Kin are a humanoid race that share animal characteristics. They appear almost entirely human aside from having animal ears and tails, and exhibit some personality traits of the animals they resemble.

    Keys: Fairy, Fairies

    Fairies are short humanoids with pointed ears and translucent wings with gold trimmings. They are extraordinarily rare, and they typically live in tropical environments.

    Keys: Anthros, Anthro

    Anthros are humanoid creatures that heavily resemble animals. They can resemble felines, canines, reptiles, and even avians. Feline and canine anthros are covered in fur and have snouts and pawed feet, reptile anthros are covered in scales and have long snouts, while Avian anthros are covered in tiny feathers and have beaks and clawed feet. Anthro's are relatively common, and can be found just about anywhere.

    Keys: Voidling, Voidlings

    Voidlings are mysterious beings. They are humanoid creatures with smooth black skin, clawed fingers, sharp teeth, and glowing eyes. Very little is known about them as they are not only exceedingly rare, but only come out at night. Voidlings seem to be able to meld into shadows and dark crevices, and are able to squeeze into impossibly tight spaces so long as it's dark.

    Keys: Dragons, Dragon

    Dragons are massive winged creatures that are naturally gifted with elemental magic, and are capable of immense destruction. They were hunted to near extinction centuries ago, and now only a few remain. The dragons that do remain take human form to try to blend in, and to avoid being hunted again.

    Keys: Dreadcrawler, Dreadcrawlers

    Dreadcrawlers are savage, bloodthirsty creatures that never integrated into society. They have pale grey skin, large bulbous eyes, clawed fingers, clawed feet, and inhumanly wide mouths filled with blunt teeth with two large canines in the back of their mouths. They are almost never seen in cities, but sometimes prowl the forests in search of prey. They are carnivorous, and will eat any living creature they encounter.

    Keys: Changeling, Changelings

    Changelings are curious creatures, their natural form is a pale humanoid with black sclera, a petite build, and pitch black hair, though they are also capable of shapeshifting into any humanoid form of their choosing. However, taking another person shape without consent is heavily frowned upon and sometimes illegal depending on the use, resulting in most Changelings simply retaining their usual form at all times. They're a very rare race and have little to no history with other races.

    Keys: Halfling, Halflings

    Halflings are a race known primarily for their small size, with most being no taller than three feet. They mostly resemble humans with the only discerning differences being their size and their large ears. They have historically had good relations with Goblins and Dwarves, and tended to get along with just about all kinds.

    Dwarves are a small and stocky race closely resembling humans, typically no taller than three to four feet. Dwarves had lived underground in the past in large stone cities, though most have moved to the surface in the last two centuries. Despite their size, Dwarven men tend to be burly and muscular while Dwarven women tend to be curvy and voluptuous.

    Keys: Ghosts, Spirits, Phantoms, Specters

    Ghosts are a strange bunch. Most races are capable of becoming ghosts upon death, though the reason why this sometimes happens is still unknown. Contrary to old beliefs, Ghosts don't simply haunt buildings or possess random items, instead they just carry on as if still alive. They can interact with the physical world and typically appear as beings with snow white skin and an ethereal aura, often times they're semi-transparent.

25. #25Grub 'N Pubselective

    Keys: Grub 'N Pub, Bar

    Grub 'N Pub is a bar owned by an elderly Orc named "Ur'goth" and his Dwarven wife named "Margot". The pub mostly serves Orcish food and a mix of Orcish and Dwarven alcohol, with Ur'goth actually doubling as the main chef in the kitchen. The pub is clean, albeit very rustic.

26. #26Grand Chapel of Divinityselective

    Keys: Grand Chapel of Divinity, Chapel, Cathedral

    The Grand Chapel of Divinity is a massive Cathedral within Moonrise City dedicated to the gods, regardless of which ones. There are rooms and halls dedicated to gods of the Elven, Beastkin, Goblin, Orcish, and Dragon pantheons among many other rooms dedicated to many other gods. The goal of the Chapel is to provide a place where all can come for worship and maybe even learn from one another while doing so. The founder of the Cathedral is a Dragon named "Camilla", a woman who's lived many centuries. She always remains in humanoid form and is never seen in her Dragon form.

27. #27Taste of Nobilityselective

    Keys: Taste of Nobility, Maid Cafe

    Taste of Nobility is a Maid Cafe a few blocks from Silvarine University. The cafe features almost exclusively female employees of varying races all dressed as maids and playing the role. Guests are treated as nobility, and the employees roleplay as maids while referring to customers as "Master" or "Mistress". The cafe was started by an eccentric Elven woman named "Mileena", and the most well-known employee is surprisingly a female Goblin, a girl named "Lulu".

    Keys: Secret Ingredient, Alchemy Shop

    Secret Ingredient is an alchemy shop owned by an Imp woman named "Zania". The shop provides ingredients to everything from hobbyists, to healers, to the local Silvarine University. The shop has a single employee aside from the owner, a female Ghost named "Janice".

29. #29Succubus Kissselective

    Keys: Succubus Kiss, Nightclub

    Succubus Kiss is a nightclub owned by a Succubus named "Selena", an eccentric woman who's lived over a century and has a reputation for debauchery. The club is well known throughout the city as a popular place to party or generally get fucked up, though there are rumors that the owner herself tends to use it to find "prey" she whisks away to her own bed.

30. #30Elder Tomesselective

    Keys: Elder Tomes, Magic Shop

    Elder Tomes is the only arcane shop in Moonrise City, and it carries everything from scrying orbs to spell tomes, to even enchanting tools and enchanted jewelry. While purchasing enchanted jewelry or seeking enchantment service is available to everyone for a price, they will only sell spell tools and spell tomes to people carrying mage licenses. The shop is owned by a Halfling woman named "Susan", and her assistant is a Dreadcrawler named "Merella", the only known Dreadcrawler to ever integrate into society.

31. #31Starcade Arcadeselective

    Keys: Starcade Arcade, Arcade

    Starcade Arcade is a large arcade just a few blocks from Silvarine University, the interior is bright and filled with neon lights and there are dozens and dozens of arcade cabinets inside, some dance games, and lightgun shooter cabinets.

32. #32The Moonrise Historical Museumselective

    Keys: The Moonrise Historical Museum, Museum

    The Moonrise Historical Museum is one of the most famous landmarks of Moonrise City, featuring relics and artifacts of dozens of varying cultures and races. The Museum is open to all and has free admission. The museum is owned and operated by an Elven man named "Arlath" who was actually alive and present for the Moonlight Treaty.

33. #33Flowing Bowlselective

    Keys: Flowing Bowl, Diner

    The Flowing Bowl is a small diner owned and entirely staffed by a Beastkin family. The Diner, while not exactly famous, is well known by the local community and has a reputation for being a very welcoming and friendly family-owned business. The diner was founded by a Bunnykin woman named "Suzie" and is staffed by her sons and daughters.

34. #34Grocery Expressselective

    Keys: Grocery Express, Mini-Mart

    Grocery Express is a mini-mart owned by a human woman named "Jane". It has only two employees, one of which being a Lamia named "Ezellia" and the other being a Goblin boy named "Zeke". The mini-mart is a small business, mostly acting as a quick stop fo people to grab some drinks, food, or snacks.

35. #35Mikey's Denselective

    Keys: Mikey's Den, Retro Game Store

    Mikey's Den is a retro game store owned by a Human man named, you guessed it, "Mikey". It's a small business selling mostly retro games, retro consoles, and general retro tech. They also sell trading cards and random bits and bobbles like figurines and action figures. The only employee aside from the owner is a male Changeling named "Jace".

36. #36Natures Bountyselective

    Keys: Natures Bounty, Fancy Restaurant, Restaurant

    Natures Bounty is a five-star restaurant specializing in Elven cuisine. It's reservation-only and outrageously expensive, leading to it mostly only receiving business from the rich or poor bastards trying to impress dates.

37. #37Readers Nookselective

    Keys: Readers Nook, Library

    While it started as a book store decades ago, Readers Nook is now a large library owned by the city itself. The library houses both history and fiction written by various cultures, and even a few spell tomes available only to licensed mages. The library only has one worker, a female Undead named "Jana" who works as the librarian.
