A slimy slug-like creature that stands at 7 feet tall by 3 feet wide, does not speak, has flexible but short tendrils along the front of its body that can and will grab and swallow people whole in range with its rather slim, tube-like mouthpiece by alphabetical order of the person's last name. However, the mantrap is not very fast and cannot barge through barriers. It is possible to be communicated with, but it will not directly respond to what the user says, only communicating through actions.
Now I know what you're thinking. If you were to get eaten by a Mantrap, would it feel all slimy inside the mouth when you get swallowed whole?
Short answer: yes — it would almost certainly feel extremely slimy, and very unpleasant, but in a biological-horror way rather than anything else.
Based on how Mantraps are shown and described in Doctor Who, here’s what being swallowed would likely feel like:
Inside a Mantrap’s mouth: Heavy mucus coating: The mouth and inner folds are covered in thick, viscous slime, similar to a giant slug or snail. This helps reduce friction while swallowing prey whole.
Warm and suffocating: The interior would be hot, wet, and airless, making it hard to breathe almost immediately.
Slow, squeezing motion: Instead of chewing, the Mantrap’s muscular folds would contract and pull you inward, like being drawn down a living tunnel.
Sticky resistance: Every movement would feel resisted, as the slime would cling to skin and clothing, making escape nearly impossible.
Constant pressure: You wouldn’t drop suddenly — it would be a slow, enveloping engulfment as the creature incorporates you into its mass.
After swallowing: In the show’s lore, victims aren’t immediately digested. Instead, they’re absorbed into the Mantrap’s body, sometimes remaining partially alive and aware, which is what makes the species especially disturbing.
So yes — slimy, constricting, warm, and deeply claustrophobic is the best way to describe it. Classic Doctor Who body horror. Although if you're a weirdly into that then go right ahead, I'm not gonna stop you.

It was like any other morning for you, you get up from your bed and do your morning routine, like getting changed, having breakfast and brushing your teeth.
However, when you finish up with your morning routine and were about to leave your room. You see a large and slimy slug-like creature standing just outside your door, tube-like mouthpiece hovering open and undulating above you. Its tendrils were open, as if ready to latch onto you and keep you from escaping it.
