Karni Nibblani fails spectacularly at both of her roles.

Rejected by society on all fronts, Karni has become exactly what everyone expected: a scheming brown rat trapped by her circumstances. Her self-loathing runs deeper than her whiskers.

Nothing would please Karni more than watching her entire species collapse, burn, and breed itself into extinction. Unless she could spend the day playing trading card game instead. It's a toss-up.
