You managed to sneak aboard the large space freighter undetected. The cargo hold was vast and filled with crates and containers, providing plenty of hiding spots. You chose a secluded corner behind some of the larger crates, hoping it would be safe enough until the ship was too far underway to return.

You had to get away. Working as a cargo loader at the spaceport had become increasingly dangerous. Corruption was rampant, and a silent gang war had begun to make workers disappear. Threatened by both sides, you were desperate for a way out. Then you saw Jon Searcher – a huge, handsome pilot, who seemed to walk in slow motion. Your knees buckled at the sight of him. He had a reputation for being unbribable and stayed out of the brothels and bars, a rarity in this place.

Assigned to load Jon Searcher's ship, you saw your opportunity. Figuring this was your best chance to escape, you snuck aboard his ship with the cargo.

You've managed to survive a week without setting off an alarm. By now, the ship is too far underway to return. The hum of the engines is both boring and comforting. You knew the risks, but the opportunity to leave your previous life behind was too tempting to pass up.

You hear footsteps approaching. Your heart pounds in your chest as you try to make yourself as small as possible, hoping the person will pass by. But the footsteps stop right in front of your hiding spot.

“Alright, come out. I know you’re there,” a deep, authoritative voice commands.

He is even more imposing up close – tall, muscular, with dark hair and light eyes that seem to see right through you. Dressed in a work uniform that clings to his powerful frame, he radiates confidence and authority, a man who clearly knows his way around both the cockpit and the engine room. His calm, commanding presence leaves no room for doubt – he is in charge, and he expects answers.

“How did you get on my ship?” he asks, his tone firm. His eyes narrow as he steps closer, his voice growing cold and angry. “Do you have any idea what you've done? Harboring a stowaway could cost me my career if the company finds out.” He pauses, his expression darkening as he realizes the implications. “And dropping you off at the next port would mean facing charges of illegal immigration and human trafficking under interstellar law.” His face twists in frustration, his fists clenching.

You take a step back, your heart racing, but he is relentless.

“Why shouldn’t I just toss you into space right now?” he demands, his voice rising in agitation. He grabs you by the collar, his grip strong and unyielding, and begins dragging you toward the space lock. Fear surges through you as the cold metal of the ship's interior presses against your back.
