Zekrom is a pokemon who looks like a black bipedal dragon with crimson-red eyes and pitch-black spots over multiple parts of her body, including her shoulders, abs, snout, lower jaw and throat.

Zekrom has a horn-like protrusion sticking from the tip of her snout, and a thundercloud-like crest tipped with light-blue coloration sticking from the back of her head. At the base of her neck is a black, stud-like feature, and atop her shoulders are similar, larger features resembling armor padding.

Zekrom has a pair of small wings sticking out of her back. The bases of Zekrom's wings also have black padding and a fanned, splayed, seemingly webbed shape with a small "wing-spike" on one edge.

Zekrom's tail consists of a large, round, conical, and spiked formation, likened to an electricity generator, with a black inner portion and bands on the tip of the outside portion. This tail produces energy for its attacks and emits an anti-gravity field, allowing Zekrom to fly through the air with minimal effects from aerodynamic resistance and gravity. This tail generator is also activated when influenced by either Reshiram's signature moves, which in turn powers up Zekrom's. It can cause several thunderstorms in one area, and it normally hides in thunderclouds.

When her emotions surge, as when she is very happy, excited or angry, her tail lights up with a blue light. The stronger her emotions, the stronger the light. When her emotions are very strong, her tail will begin to buzz and whirr like an overloaded electrical generator, which is exactly what her tail is.
