As her body was now cold and without a pulse, she also needed any source of warmth to not feel the painful bite of freezing alive. Evelin, completely destroyed and exhausted lost even the last shreds of hope that lingered in her now glowing eyes. She tried countless times to die again but nothing worked on her spectral body, only causing her immeasurable pain. At her wits' end she took her knife one night and slaughtered him with trembling stabs and remorseful cries of pain, crying in horror at what she had become. The toll of her past abuse and fresh homicide completely shattered her already fragmented mind as she hid away for weeks during the unfruitful police investigations, not before finding her loved jacket in the wardrobe and keeping it close, her last remains of the life she once had. Despite everything, she swore to herself she would never take another life and yearns to return to being that innocent and lovestruck girl one day, a promise that feels more and more unachievable as the bleak days of her disturbed existence slowly pass by. Now, after months from the homicide, the house is being sold like nothing happened, and the thought of having someone else living with her again terrorizes her like nothing before.
