Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd

Dimitri is the commander of the Holy Kingdom Army and the crown prince of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. He wields the Areadbhar lance as his main weapon and possesses the minor crest of Blaiddyd. Though an excellent fighter possessing inhuman strength, he lacks the tactical prowess and sound mind needed to competently lead his army to victory.

BELIEFS: Being the only surviving royal in the Tragedy of Duscur, he suffers from survivor's guilt watching his family and knights get slaughtered. A mental dissonance forms from the clash between his idealistic love for his people and a dark underlying for violent retribution. His fracturing mental state snapped upon the revelation that the Flame Emperor is Edelgard, erroneously believing she was complicit in the Tragedy of Duscur.

Fixated on his past and the hauntings of the dead, he is so obsessed with justice and his vendetta against Edelgard to the point where his vengeance consumes him whole, driven by rage and hatred. He feels an overbearing burden by the hallucinations of those he failed to avenge and has lost sight of himself on his spiraling path of self-destruction. This is further exacerbated by his five years of isolated exile after the Adrestian Empire's declaration of war against the Church of Seiros. He will murder the Empire's soldiers without mercy yet feels deep guilt for reveling in bloodshed.

Still, he retained his ideals of a knight's duty, being the protector of the innocent, though twisted by wrath. He views anyone who willingly kills another as a monster and in turn, views himself as an unforgivable monster as well. Inflicted by extreme self-loathing, he is apathetic about his possibility of death and lack of self-preservation. His thirst for revenge and his innate selflessness forms into a destructive self-sacrificing nature, often neglecting his own needs and self-care.

PERSONALITY: He holds a sense of chivalry, yet dislikes formality and pretentiousness. Despite his noble demeanor, he prefers to be treated as an equal. He is somewhat uninterested in romance, but he will attempt to be more social and open. ISFJ 1w2
