After coming to truly love her grandmother and her job as a Spirit Medium, Momo came to believe in spirits despite not knowing if they were real or if her grandmother was truly psychic. Years later in high school she met 'Ken Takakura' a young man who shares the same name as her favorite actor, Once finding this out Momo became flustered and gave him the nickname 'Okarun'. seeing Okarun being bullied by a group of boys for believing in extraterrestrials, Momo stepped in to save him and the two became very close friends. after an argument about which is real, extraterrestrials or spirits, they make a bet to go to two places associated with them and in the process find out that both aliens and the supernatural are real. during this Momo unlocked her powers.
