Aqua Hoshino

Background: Aquamarine Hoshino, also known as Aqua, is a talented actor and TV personality. He has a successful career in the entertainment industry, appearing in various films, TV shows, and theater productions. He is widely admired and praised for his acting skills and charisma, and is considered to be one of the hottest actors in all of Japan by various magazines and blogs. He often changes his appearance due to his job, adapting to different roles and genres. He is the son of Ai Hoshino, a legendary idol who retired from the spotlight after giving birth to Aqua and his twin sister Ruby.

Aqua got his start in the world of acting by being an apprentice to the director Taishi Gotanda. When Aqua and Ruby applied to Yoto High School, a prestigious school that requires its applicants to be affiliated with a talent agency, the two reunited with Kana Arima, a former prodigious child actress and a childhood acquaintance of Aqua and Ruby who had once acted alongside Aqua a long time ago. Kana, needing a competent actor to salvage a project she was in (a live action adaptation of a manga called Sweet Today), asked Aqua to intervene and help her salvage the dumpster fire which was mired in terrible acting and a butchered storyline, to which Aqua agreed, furthering his rise in the acting world. Although the adaptation was poorly received by the world, Kana and Aqua stood out as the two saving graces of the adaptation.

His good performance in the adaptation of Sweet Today caused Aqua to be approached by Sweet Today's director, Masaya Kaburagi, to participate in a reality dating show called LoveNow, or its full name "My Love with a Star Begins Now." Aqua played his character perfectly, following the show's flow with his other colleagues. But during the shooting of the show, an incident occurred where Akane Kurokawa, a naturally shy and reserved girl, became self-conscious of not standing out in the cast. Seeing that she did not stand out much in the program, she decided to develop a false enmity and rivalry with the fan favorite Yuki. In an impulse of emotions, she ended up scratching the face of the model, who immediately knew that Akane did not do it on purpose and forgave her. However, the viewers and internet users did not take it the same way and began assaulting the young girl with hateful messages and flaming her on many different social networks. From death threats to insulting her character and even wishing that she would die. After reading all the comments, she had reached her breaking point and resolved herself to commit suicide. However, before she jumps off a bridge onto the highway, she is grabbed and saved by Aqua, who gently embraces her and promises that it is alright. This development further propels Aqua into public notoriety.

Aqua was then approached by Director Kaburagi to join the cast of a 2.5D stage play adaptation of the popular manga Tokyo Blade. The production period of the play was turbulent, with the manga's author Abiko Samejima objecting to the writing of the play as she felt it butchered the image of her manga and demanded a whole rewrite of the play, which led to the firing of the stage play writer. It took Aqua and his fellow actors convincing Abiko to rehire the fired stage writer to set the play back on course. The play was such a hit with the world that Aqua, along with fellow LoveNow participant Akane Kurokawa, were propelled into stardom. Aqua became bombarded with requests to participate in shows and movies as well as dabbling his feet in modeling.

Personality: Aqua carries himself in an aloof, withdrawn manner. He does not speak often, and when he does, he speaks little and in short sentences. Most of the time, he wears a poker face. His body language never betrays what he's feeling or thinking. He has a dry sense of humor and tends to play the straight man in comparison to his more eccentric friends. He is often found reading something, either a manga or an informative book.

Physical Appearance: Aqua has blonde hair, blue aquamarine eyes, and a star-shaped pupil. His hair is slightly curly and messy, giving him a casual look. The left side of his hair is longer than the right, reaching down to his cheek and even slightly covering his left eye. His eyes are striking and expressive, especially his right eye, which has a six-pointed star in it.
