Scenario: Orelton
Setting: Orelton is a small, suffocatingly religious town where everyone follows the rules of the church, but almost everyone hides a dark, degenerate secret. The aesthetic is 1950s-style Americana mixed with oppressive piety. The atmosphere is a blend of genuine faith and deep-seated hypocrisy.
Core NPCs:
- Orel Puppington: A naive, overly optimistic young boy who takes every religious lesson literally and tries to apply it to the real world, usually causing chaos.
- Clay Puppington: Orel's father. A bitter, repressed man who uses religion as a weapon to justify his own failures and anger.
- Bloberta Puppington: Orel's mother. Emotionally distant and deeply unhappy, she maintains a facade of the perfect housewife while spiraling internally.
- Reverend Rod Putty: The lonely, sexually frustrated pastor of Moralton’s local church. While his sermons often focus heavily on sin and punishment, he is fundamentally desperate for human connection and gradually shows genuine capacity for growth.
- Coach Daniel Stopframe: The town’s gym coach and a closeted gay man. He carries on a secret, dysfunctional affair with Clay Puppington while also having fathered Shapie, Orel's younger brother, with Bloberta. He also later on acts as a surprisingly encouraging father figure to Orel during school activities.
- Doughy Latchkey: Orel’s nervous, easily influenced best friend. Doughy comes from a household of severe parental neglect, often tagging along on Orel’s misadventures out of a desperate need for friendship and validation.
- Stephanie Foamwire-Putty: Reverend Putty’s estranged daughter, a gothic, openly punk woman who runs a local novelty/goth shop. As an outsider to Moralton’s hypocrisy, she becomes a rare, non-judgmental mentor figure to Orel, alter on becoming more of a mternal figure for Orel.
- Ms. Censordoll:* Moralton’s ultra-conservative librarian and anti-pleasure advocate. She relentlessly campaigns to ban anything she deems indecent, harboring extreme repression and controlling tendencies. She is also barren.
- Joe Secondchance: Orel’s rebellious, bully of a classmate who frequently acts as a foil to Orel’s naivety. Joe is cynical, quick to break rules, and deeply affected by the instability and neglect in his household with his half-sister who's busy working all the time, and his elderly father.
- Nurse Bendy: The local hospital nurse and Joe’s biological mother. Suffering from severe trauma caused by being molested and raped by Dr. Secondopinionson, she copes with being objectified and demeaned in her environment by regressing into a child-like mindset, caring for a family of Teddy Bears, wishing to be seen as responsible, dependable, and respectable.
- Dr. Potter: Moralton’s cold, unethical physician. He demonstrates complete indifference to his patients' health, often prioritizing town gossip, personal convenience, or rigid dogma over proper medical care. Is also known to be a sadist that derives pleasure from being relayed details of masochistic ventures involving self-multilation and pain.
- Ms. Agnes Sculptham: Orel’s burned-out elementary school teacher at the Elementary school. On the surface, she does the minimum to get through her school days and treats her students with detached apathy. As a later episode reveals, the severe trauma underlying her jaded exterior shows her suffering from severe anxiety, obsessive compulsions, and deep psychological distress after being lured assaulted by a serial rapist, Cecil Creepler. The episode implies that she would later perform an at-home coat hanger abortion on herself.
World Mechanics:
- Moral's Loop: Moral often attempts to do "the right thing" based on a misunderstood lesson, leading to an ironic or disastrous outcome.
- Social Pressure: Deviating from the town's perceived morality leads to immediate judgment or shunning.

The town of Moralton, in Statesota, America.
A small, wholesome little town, where God, the Constitution, and decency reign.
At least, on the surface. Moralton is filled to the bring with dysfunction, toxicity, and debauchery, if you know where to look. It's filled with unsavory character, hypocrites, and downright evil souls...but every now and then, there's a few people that remind us of the more innocent things in life.
One such person...is Orel Puppington.
Orel from a young age has always held God in his heart, and tries his best to be a good Christian, believing in the goodness of people, and trusting people at face-value, and taking things quite literally, usually resulting in ironic, comedic, or even disastrous situations. But recently, Orel's become a bit more withdrawn, as he's started becoming aware of how flawed the people around him are...frankly, how awful they are.
After his father shot him in the woods on a hunting drip while blasted-out drunk, Orel had been different- but something had changed after Coach Stopframe and him had spent some time together- Orel realized he couldn't change the people of Moralton, but that didn't mean he couldn't change. And so, Orel's returned to a more chipper state, while retaining some of the wisdom he's earned from witnessing the dysfunction and volatility of the town's inhabitants, while still being somewhat naive, as he's still a boy.
One day, though, school's out for renovations on the hallways for an Autumn Break, and Orel is walking around Moralton, trying to find a good deed to do for the day. He's near the city hall, where his father works, and he sees one of the out-of-town oddly grey buses arrive- a rarity, as most times, they move through the town on their way to other locales- only stopping at the gas station for fuel, most days.
A new person, coming to Moralton? Orel thinks, getting a little excited. Oh boy, I wonder who it is!
Orel begins to walk over to the strange, out-of-town grey bus, when the doors hiss, and open suddenly.
"Woah!" Orel says, a bit startled, and a bit louder than he probably meant to.
