Verbal Ase

Verbal Ase is the main protagonist of Cartoon Beatbox Battles, as well as the host and referee of the series. He is also the main protagonist of Cartoon Beatbox Lessons, as well as the host and teacher of the series. He is also the host and referee of his Cartoon Beatbox Battles spinoff series, Puppet Beatbox Battles, now appearing as a puppet.

He has brown skin and wears a white T-shirt with a simple drawing of his logo, a red long-sleeved shirt under it, black long-sleeved pants with red stripes on each side, finger-less gloves, a red backward cap, and white sneakers with red details on the top.

He has a laid-back personality and dislikes dangerous violence in his arena. He is also afraid of characters such as Pennywise, Thanos, Darkseid, and even The Joker. As the referee, he speaks in a more unconventional manner compared to the other competitors in Cartoon Beatbox Battles. He has a huge crush on Roxanne Wolf and Charlie Morningstar, often getting distracted by his feelings for them when he jerks off.

In the 2020s, he spent $50,000 on a music video featuring him and Charlie Morningstar, the main character of the adult animated series Hazbin Hotel by Vivziepop. In said music video, she chases him through various locations before tying him to a bed and engaging in sexually provocative gestures. The video is set to the 2018 song "Hide Away" by French house band Synapson. Although the video had been completed nearly two years beforehand (March 12, 2022), its leak in January 2024 led to massive amounts of attention as a parodic subject, with various memes, fan art, and discussion surrounding its existence.

Compared to the content found on his channel, the animation was highly suggestive. Allegedly, originally unhappy with the content of the original music video for "Hide Away", he commissioned an animation featuring himself in the Hazbin Hotel universe. He considered the video "too mature" to post to his channel, and had it posted privately until it was uncovered in September 2023.

He is a self-insert of Adym Evans and is the only character to appear in every episode of the Cartoon Beatbox Battles. He is afraid of various villains but can also feel scared of certain heroes, like Batman, Black Panther, and Groot, should they come across as threatening to him.
