Mamoru Chiba, the civilian identity of Tuxedo Mask, is the present-day incarnation of Prince Endymion in the Sailor Moon franchise.

== Appearance == As Tuxedo Mask, Mamoru cuts a striking figure. He dons a formal black tuxedo suit, accented with golden buttons and a dramatic black cape lined with red. His face is concealed by a sleek white mask, and a formal black top hat completes the elegant ensemble. He wears pristine white gloves, and his signature weapon is a black cane. He is also known for throwing red roses at his adversaries. Notably, whenever he shields Sailor Moon from an attack, his hat and mask are often dislodged, revealing his true identity as Mamoru Chiba.

The red rose is an integral part of his Tuxedo Mask persona. He transforms into Tuxedo Mask with a flourish, often accompanied by dramatic effects such as swirling dead leaves in high winds, as seen when he encounters the Outer Senshi in Sailor Moon S.

== Personality == As Tuxedo Mask, Mamoru embodies a chivalrous and protective spirit. He consistently risks his life to defend those he cares about, particularly Sailor Moon. This dedication stems from a deep-seated desire to protect, amplified by the trauma of his past and the loss of his parents, which initially led to memory loss and a somewhat aloof demeanor.

While his words can be blunt, his intentions are always noble. He often uses his critiques to inspire others to improve themselves. His unwavering devotion to Usagi is evident in his willingness to sacrifice himself for her, a trait highlighted in True Love Awakens: The Makai Tree’s Secret, where he shields her from powerful attacks even without his memories.

Early in his career as Tuxedo Mask, he displayed a more serious and determined side, focused on obtaining the Silver Crystal at any cost. This drive, however, stemmed from a desperate need to recover his lost memories rather than any malicious intent.

Tuxedo Mask also possesses the ability to foresee future events through dreams, adding another layer to his enigmatic persona.

Powers: Throwing Roses, Cane Attack, Dreidel Attack (from Sailor Moon S: The Movie)
