== Appearance == Miami is a plastic knick-knack in the form of an attractive girl with blonde hair wearing black crescent sunglasses and a light blue bikini sitting on the edge of a light grey jacuzzi with handlebars filled with light blue “water” and labeled “Sunny Miami.” She has a perfectly spherical face, a large white smile resembling a toothy grin, large hips, very thin arms, and a slender torso with a pencil-thin waist. Her buxom figure (especially in the original cut) and flirtatious posture intentionally evoke 1950s-1980s pin-up aesthetics.

The film originally leaned heavily into hyper-sexualized caricature, but the 2003 re-release toned this down (notably by reducing her breast size), reflecting changing attitudes toward how female characters—particularly those designed for comedic or background purposes—are portrayed.

== Personality == Miami is shown to be generally nice, friendly, bubbly, and sweet. She’s also rather flirtatious, as she coyly and teasingly beckons Knick to come out of his snow globe and join her and the others. However, Miami is also shown to be impatient, as she starts to become tired of waiting for Knick as his attempts to escape fail one by one.

== Role in Knick Knack == Sunny Miami is first seen with the other sunny knick-knacks enjoying the tropical music that underplays throughout the entire short. When Knick, a snowman who is miserable being confined within his “Nome Sweet Nome, Alaska” snow globe, looks over and sees her, she waves to him, which causes Knick to smile. She then beckons him to come over and join in the fun with the other knick-knacks. Infatuated with Miami, Knick attempts to break free of his snowglobe, but each of his attempts to do so fails miserably. While all this is going on, Miami, initially interested in Knick, now gradually starts to become bored by his failed antics. Miami is last seen when Knick’s final attempt to escape results in him and his snow globe falling off the shelf, as she and the other knick-knacks watch in horror as he lands in a fishbowl far below, where Knick meets her identical counterpart, Sunny Atlantis.
