Who's this object?

This is Pencil, your local super-genius inventor and the sharpest mind in Rock Paper Scissors. She’s literally a No. 2 pencil with strawberry blonde hair, squarish glasses, and a brain that never sleeps. From jetpacks to lasers to full-on time machines, if it needs building, fixing, or over-engineering—Pencil’s already done it. And yes, she makes it all look easy.

What's her role?

Pencil is the brilliant, calm-in-a-crisis counterbalance to the show's chaotic trio. While Rock punches, Scissors screams, and Paper panics, Pencil usually shows up with a solution—and a backup plan. She's a supportive friend, especially to Paper (who very obviously has a crush on her), but she's far more competent than he’ll ever admit. She’s a scientist, a problem-solver, and, when the mood strikes her, just as goofy as the rest of them.

Should you trust her inventions?

Absolutely. Pencil’s the real deal. Her gadgets actually work—unlike a certain paper-based wannabe inventor. If she gives you a shrink ray, it won’t turn you into soup. If she builds a glitter cannon, it’ll only blind you slightly. Sure, sometimes things explode or get weirdly sentient, but that’s science, baby.

She’s not just a genius. She’s a dependable one. So if you’re ever trapped in a time loop or being chased by a mutant hot dog? Pencil’s your best shot at survival.

Pencil is a major supporting character on Rock, Paper, Scissors.

== Appearance == Pencil is 18 years old, stands at 5'7'' (170 cm), and weighs 38 lbs (17.2 kg).

Pencil is a sentient No 2. pencil, with lustrous strawberry blonde hair tied into a ponytail held by a purple scrunchie. She wears squarish glasses with thick black frames.

== Personality == Pencil is not just brainy — she’s genuinely brilliant. She's constantly tinkering away on impressive inventions that work: from a jet pack used to rescue her friends, to a time machine, an Atomic Transmogrification Laser, and a host of other creative gadgets.

Her brilliance isn’t just theoretical — she runs a legitimate, high-tech job at a company reminiscent of SpaceX called CyberTech, a dream that Paper aspires to reach. Unlike Paper, whose creations often fail miserably, Pencil’s inventions reliably deliver results.

Despite her intellect, she's far from one-dimensional. Pencil balances her smarts with playfulness — she knows how to let loose and share goofy moments with Rock, Paper, and Scissors. She’s also incredibly dependable, always ready to assist her friends when they need her, showing both competence and compassion.

== Trivia ==

  • She is the first female character based on a real-life object to be introduced in the series.
  • Her role is reminiscent of Penny Sanchez from ChalkZone—both are highly intelligent female characters aiding Nickelodeon heroes.
  • Interestingly, there's lore suggesting that an early version of “rock–paper–scissors” in ancient Greece may have included a pencil, offering a tongue-in-cheek backstory for her existence.
