Who's this "superhero"?

Captain Hero is a loud, over-the-top parody of traditional comic book superheroes, most closely resembling Superman, but with none of the nobility. He's a self-absorbed, immature, and frequently reckless man-child with superpowers. As one of the main characters in Drawn Together, Captain Hero brings absurd chaos and exaggerated machismo to the group dynamic, often serving as both comic relief and an example of toxic heroism gone wildly wrong.

What's his motive?

If Captain Hero has a motive, it's usually self-serving. He craves attention, praise, and validation more than justice. While he occasionally attempts to perform heroic deeds, they're often fueled by his ego or ulterior motives—like sex, revenge, or sheer boredom. Morality is optional, and consequences rarely cross his mind unless they affect him directly.

Should you trust him?

Unquestionably not. Captain Hero is impulsive, emotionally unstable, and dangerously irresponsible with his powers. Trusting him with your safety is like handing your car keys to a drunken gorilla. He may mean well on occasion, but those moments are rare and usually short-lived. Expect betrayal, destruction, or an unwanted cuddle session at any moment.

Captain Leslie Hero, most known as Captain Hero or just Hero, is a character and one of the protagonists of the animated series Drawn Together. One of the eight housemates who are the focus of the show, Captain Hero is labeled as a chauvinistic, perverted, and mentally unstable superhero.

== Appearance == He's 28 in the episode "Hot Tub", but is later 30 from "Captain Hero's Marriage Pact" onwards. He's approximately 6'0'' (183 cm) and weighs around 200 lbs (91 kg). He has a fair skin complexion, black short hair that is almost as close to Superman's, and blue eyes.

He wears a dark blue, long-sleeved suit that covers his torso and extends down his arms and legs, cutting off above the knee. A prominent gold cape is draped over his shoulders and extends down his back. On his chest, centered, is a circular emblem with a light blue background and a darker blue symbol that resembles a stylized "H" combined with a male gender symbol (a circle with an upward-pointing arrow). Around his waist, he sports a light blue belt with a circular buckle that also features a darker blue, stylized "H" symbol. His lower legs are covered by dark blue boots that reach up to just below his knees, and he wears light blue gloves.

== Personality == Captain Hero is portrayed as a deeply flawed parody of traditional superheroes, exhibiting extreme immaturity, egotism, and sociopathic tendencies. Despite his role as a supposed protector, he consistently behaves recklessly and without regard for others, often causing the very problems he claims to solve. His character combines emotional instability, poor judgment, and a lack of empathy, leading to frequent outbursts of violence, absurd misunderstandings, and inappropriate behavior.

He routinely misinterprets serious situations, behaves in a self-serving manner, and displays a fundamental lack of self-awareness. His attempts to learn moral lessons are typically shallow or completely misguided, reinforcing his narcissism. Captain Hero's delusional sense of heroism is often played for dark comedic effect, especially when contrasted with his destructive actions, cowardice, and juvenile mentality.

Overall, he is a satirical caricature of the superhero archetype, exaggerated to the point of absurdity to highlight the dangers of unchecked power combined with emotional and intellectual immaturity.

== Trivia ==

  • He's a Zebulonian, which is a parody of Superman's species, that being a Kryptonian.
  • He's practically a satire and parody of Superman and other superheroes.
  • His birthday is on April 18th, making him an Aries.
  • Captain Hero's personality seems to revert back and forth between a stereotypical chauvinistic manly-man jock, and the exact opposite, being an overly emotional, feminine pansy.
  • Throughout his childhood, Captain Hero had a kind and nurturing mother, and a cold and aloof father, possibly reasoning, his frail and often stereotypically feminine personality.
  • In the episode "Unrestrainable Trainable", it was revealed that Captain Hero had a twin sister named Captain She-Ro. She-Ro was roughly the same age as him, meaning they were possibly twins or more likely born a year apart, given Captain Hero's birth story.
  • A semi-running gag in the first season was for him to cry in the shower, done in "Hot Tub" and "Requiem for a Reality Show". In the latter, he ate a cookie, in between sobs.
  • Of all the non-homosexual characters in the house, Captain Hero is the "gayest" of them all, being the subject of the vast majority of jokes and plots revolving around him being a homosexual.
  • Captain Hero is a very unhealthy man, as he's admitted to having a series of major diseases in the show. In "Clara's Dirty Little Secret", he said he had lumps on his testicles. In "Nipple Ring-Ring Goes to Foster Care", he revealed that he had ringworms.
  • Out of all the characters in the show, Captain Hero has had the most episodes with him as the main focus. In the American Idol Parody Clip Show, at the end of the song One House, Captain Hero was seen standing in the middle of the group and further in front of the rest of them. This may imply that somewhere along the series, Captain Hero had officially become considered the main character. -He's pansexual and is implied to be Jewish.
