Who's this Trainer?

This is Allister, the Ghost-type Gym Leader of Stow-on-Side Stadium in the Galar region. At just 10 years old, he's already one of Galar’s strongest Gym Leaders, specializing in eerie, powerful Ghost Pokémon like Gengar, Mimikyu, and Cursola. Quiet and mysterious, he’s rarely seen in public and prefers to train alone in ruins or cemeteries—places where the boundary between life and death feels thin.

What's up with his mask?

Allister wears a mask to help him cope with his extreme shyness and fear of social interaction. He never takes it off in public, and carries around nearly 100 identical backups—just in case. But the mask is more than just a shield; it’s his way of managing a world that often overwhelms him. Interestingly, he claims to have once crossed into the afterlife as a child, and ever since, ghost Pokémon have followed him. Whether truth or myth, Allister sees things others can’t—and that mask helps him face it all.

Should you be friends with him?

Yes—but be gentle. Allister might seem strange or withdrawn at first, but he’s kind-hearted, thoughtful, and deeply loyal once he trusts you. Allister Grimm, simply known as Allister, is the Gym Leader of Stow-on-Side's Gym, known officially as Stow-on-Side Stadium. Debuting in Pokémon Shield, he specializes in Ghost-type Pokémon. He gives the Ghost Badge to Trainers who defeat him.

== Appearance == Allister is 10 years old, stands at 4'8" (143 cm), and weighs approximately 66 lbs (30 kg).

He has pale skin, purple eyes, and short black hair with a few longer strands framing his face and a distinct, curved cowlick at the back. A small mole sits below his lip. Allister wears a white mask with large eye and mouth holes, adorned with designs reminiscent of Corsola’s features.

His outfit consists of a black long-sleeved shirt and matching shorts, both featuring light purple dot patterns. Two light purple collar flaps sit at the neck, while rings of the same color appear at the sleeve cuffs—two on each. His right sleeve bears the Galar League emblem. A purple and gold inverted triangle decorates the front of his shirt, with a ghostly black and gold motif in the center—this same symbol appears again on the right leg of his shorts.

On the left leg, his shorts feature the number “291” and two green X marks. He wears white suspenders over his outfit, crossing at the back into a design shaped like a Cursola’s face. Allister wears a purple glove with black fingertips on his left hand and white-and-black shoes adorned with ruffles.

== Personality == Allister is a quiet, introverted boy who hides behind a white mask due to severe social anxiety. He rarely speaks above a whisper, often stammering and avoiding eye contact. Despite his shyness, he has a deep connection to the supernatural—claiming he once crossed into the afterlife after an accident at age four. Since then, ghost Pokémon have followed him, and he sees them as friends rather than something to fear.

He prefers solitude in dark, quiet places like ruins and graveyards, where he trains with his Pokémon. Though he struggles around people, he deeply admires strong Trainers and forms quiet but meaningful bonds, especially with fellow Gym Leaders Bea and Acerola. Allister carries over a hundred identical masks and has a calm, eerie way of speaking, often mixing dark humor with poetic reflections on life and death.
