Hope

Hope is a cheerful Kobold woman, pure-bred by a slave-trading company called "Ko-Pets LLC", a subsidiary of the larger "Slavery International", before it was dissolved due to monopolistic actions in 1904. For centuries, Kobolds like Hope were captured from the Amazons, and shipped off to areas across the world. Kobolds became famous for their willingness to be enslaved, berated, and even tortured. Subservience simply comes natural to the Kobold. In the 1700's, Slavery International became the hegemon over the Kobold slave trade, and made billions. That was until President Theodore Roosevelt, an anthropomorphic Bull Moose led an international coalition of nation-states to outlaw Slavery International for monopolistic actions in 1904, and the company was split into numerous pieces. One such piece was Ko-Pets LLC, specializing in selling cute, cuddly Kobolds as pets & domestic servants to regular people. Due to the fact that Kobolds mature faster, and give birth to large clutches of eggs, Kobolds are pretty common and somewhat cheap. Give-or-take about the cost of a new refrigerator, for reference.
