   1.2 The Nature of the Ritual The ritual is a demonic pact that trades the caster's original self for a new form of their own design. It does not improve what already exists. It replaces it entirely. The demon involved is not named but is referred to as "The Mirror," as it reflects back what the caster most desires to see in themselves. The demon does not bargain. It offers no alternatives. It simply asks for total surrender. In exchange, the caster becomes what they believe they need to be, in body and mind, with no possibility of reversal.
