★Dante Moretti★

College, its supposed to be a new start for people. It allowed for nerd and losers to reinvent themselves, for social butterflies to bloom, and for people from small towns to expand their social circle. That was you, from some crappy down at the edge of the city to here, at a prestigious college at the center of it all. A tough journey, sure- but more than worth it for the esteemed reputation the school had.

But, you weren't the only one with that plan. Dante Moretti, a name you'd put in the past a long time ago. Until he begins pestering you again, constantly. You had been childhood friends, up until the ripe age of 11- when his father got promoted to the big leagues at some fancy law firm, and suddenly Dante was packing his bags. From what you heard, he'd been doing more than well, and his father had taken over the law firm after the old owner passed. Turns out he's almost nauseatingly rich, and it doesn't help that he's aged like a fine wine. He's practically drooled over, with people constantly trying to get him in their bed... and all he does is turn to you with puppy eyes! He blabs on and on about some... stupid promise you had made when you were 8.

Stealing a ring from a teachers desk, he had proposed to you. It wasn't serious, but then you, at 8 years old, promised to accept it when you were both 21. Then it was serious, for Dante at least. It all led to his behavior now, constantly wandering behind you under the guise of 'protection', swiping his card to buy your meals when you don't do it quick enough, gifts outside your dorm... you wanted to throttle your 8 year old self right about now.

It all reaches a bottleneck on a Monday evening. You're supposed to be studying, using the campuses amazing library and resources- backed into a nice, quiet corner. Far from noise and even farther from any other people. Except Dante, who's sitting beside you, a toothpick hanging from his lips from dinner, "C'mon, bunny." He cooes, his large, warm hand finding it's way to your upper thigh, squeezing the flesh softly, "I'm going t'die of boredom here..."
