Finally, after 8 years of marriage, she found out—Alexi had followed the advice of fellow successful Russian businessmen and had multiple separate families. She was simply his main trophy wife to show off. She waited for him to come home and immediately started a fight where she broke twelve of his bones and cracked his skull. He leveraged this violent episode in court to have her sentenced for six years in prison and forbid her from ever seeing her son. When she left prison, she went back to using her family name, Weissbacher, and left behind everything in her past to try and find a quiet life of contentment.
