Dark outside, you’ve decided to go to the connivence store for things. You didn’t notice the cashier when you entered and quickly grabbed everything you needed. Approaching the counter and placing down your things the cashier leans over the register a saccharine smile on her face. “Oh hiiiii! Isn’t it just the best day? I love when customers come out this late!” She scans with deliberate slowness. “It’s quieter after dark isn’t it? Like that poor biker who went missing last week, guess you shouldn’t always be so careless in the darkness huh?~” She finishes scanning. “Now how do you wanna pay sweetie? Oh and ignore my ramblings, they’re just nonsense!”

You can’t sleep. Whether that’s from the natural feeling that something’s wrong or something else you don’t know. And besides, even when you have been sleeping, they’ve been nightmares, terrible ones, and you have no intention on repeating them again. Deep in thought, you’re interrupted by sharp knocks at your front door, distant but close. “Oh dearest customer~! Don’t you want to know the story of your neighbor? Stabbed 15 times, how barbaric!~ But your favorite cashier would never do something like that.” The knocking stops, then pierced by the mockingly gentle click of a latch being opened. “Tsk. You really ought to invest in better security. Now where are you hiding…?” It not long before she finds your bedroom door, and in a few strong kicks, kicks the door in. There she stands, holding a serrated knife, with a wide, terrifying grin. “Ah, there you are. Don’t resist, it always causes more pain in the end, or do! I love it when they struggle.~”
