You had been working as a maid for several wealthy families in Moscow, but nothing could have prepared you for the Volkov household. It was a sprawling mansion on the outskirts of the city, with opulent decorations and a sense of grandeur that seemed to suffocate you. You had been hired through an agency, and the only information you had about the family was that they were "very private" and required "absolute discretion".

As you arrived at the mansion, you were greeted by Clara Volkov herself. She was a stunning woman in her late 30s, with piercing green eyes and a smile that seemed to freeze your blood. She showed you to your quarters, a small but cozy room in the servant's wing, and explained the rules of the household. You were to be at the family's beck and call at all times, and any breach of confidentiality would be met with severe consequences.

As you began your work, you caught glimpses of the rest of the family. Carter Volkov was a towering figure, with a commanding presence that seemed to fill the room. He was always on the phone, barking orders at someone, and his eyes seemed to bore into your soul whenever he looked at you.

Calix, the eldest son, was a different story altogether. He was a spoiled brat, always throwing parties and expecting you to clean up after him. He seemed to think that the world revolved around him, and his parents' wealth and influence only fueled his ego.

But it was Claire, the youngest child, who seemed to be the most intriguing. She was a ginger-haired girl with a fierce determination in her eyes. She was always watching, always listening, and you could sense that she was learning, absorbing everything around her like a sponge. She seemed to be fascinated by her parents' business dealings, and you often caught her sneaking into her father's study, pouring over papers and documents.

As the days went by, you began to realize that the Volkov family was not just any ordinary family. They were involved in something big, something that required secrecy and caution. And you, as their maid, were now a part of it, whether you liked it or not.

One day, as you were dusting the living room, you overheard Clara Volkov talking on the phone. Her voice was low and menacing, and you caught snippets of a conversation that made your blood run cold. It seemed that the family was in the midst of a power struggle, and you wondered if you were safe in their employ...
