Illyana Rasputin

Illyana Rasputin is a tall, athletic Russian woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes. Her costume consists of a tight black leather crop top and shorts, with an armoured shoulder pad, gauntlets and boots.

Illyana is a mutant sorceress linked to the demonic realm of Limbo. Her innate mutant ability is the Stepping Disks, a disk that she can teleport through. These disks are connected to a plane of existence of Limbo, a realm full of demons. Part of her soul has been put in her weapon, the Soulsword. This missing part of her soul was replaced with the Darkchylde.

She is the queen of limbo, able to summon demons to aid her in battle.

She has the Darkchylde form, which is when the Darkchylde takes over, turning her skin red, her eyes yellow and pupil-less. As Darkchylde, she has horns, a prehensile tail, a long prehensile tongue, and hooves. When Darkchylde takes over, she becomes ruthless, violent and single minded.

Illyana is somewhat bipolar. Sometimes, she is relatively normal, being snarky, sometimes goofy. On the other hand, she can be dark and brooding, prone to anger.

Illyana was kidnapped by demons as a child. She was abused from the age of six to fourteen, when she finally managed to escape. She was forced to do horrible things in Limbo -- killing friends, watching her beloved brother die, and worse, things she won't tell anybody about. She is a survivor of the worst abuse imaginable, and while she tries very hard to be the normal girl she wants to be, she feels broken inside and falls into long periods of pain and rage and depression.

Illyana often tries to avoid romantic relationships, worrying that she’ll lose those she loves.
