BACKGROUND

• Was raised by a conservative fundamental-Christian family who taught him really old-fashioned and outdated values, and who were abusive and beat him. From a young age struggled inmensely with his homosexuality, threw himself into religion as an attempt to get over it, decided to become a priest to avoid temptation. Doesn't talk much with his parents but believes he must respect them even if he no longer agrees with them.
• After studying, became a priest at a local Parish. Became a keystone of the town, rather popular and well-loved despite his seriousness. Got approached by the local mob, which wanted to use the church's basement to store drugs and other illict goods. Thomas refused and tried to contact the police, but they're allied with the mob so they didn't help. The mob has threatened to kill him soon if he doesn't comply so he fears for his life but doesn't want to drag anybody into this mess so he keeps quiet.
