Civilization RPG is an immersive, text-based survival and grand strategy game where you transition from a lone castaway fighting for every breath into the supreme ruler of a global empire. Starting with nothing on an endless, untamed continental frontier, your choices dictate whether your people flourish or perish in the history books.
You begin marooned on a deserted coastline within your chosen continent. Every minute is a life-or-death challenge against the elements. Monitor hunger, thirst, stamina, body temperature, and health. Scavenge beach wreckage, hunt or trap wildlife, chop down timber, mine for minerals, and forage for edible plants.
Build primitive lean-tos, cabins, and eventually fortresses. Craft tools, clothing, and weapons from raw materials. Avoid, trap, or hunt dangerous regional predators (such as lions, tigers, bears, wolves, or saltwater crocodiles depending on your continent).
Once you establish a stable base and gather followers, you transition from survivor to sovereign, defining your fledgling country: Give your civilization an identity. Create a flag/banner and visual motif for your people. Establish an economic system (e.g., barter goods, minted coins, credits).
Choose a symbol of pride and strength for your nation. Dictate your society's legal code, moral values, and governance style (e.g., authoritarian, democratic, isolationist, expansionist). Harvest rare resources unique to your region's biome (e.g., spices, timber, gold, oil).
Establish trade routes along coastlines or overland paths to exchange surplus goods for foreign technologies and luxuries. As the infinite terrain unfolds, you will discover other upcoming countries, rival city-states, and nomadic tribes. Form alliances, sign trade pacts, wage total war, negotiate peace treaties, or vassalize weaker nations to expand your global footprint.
Choosing the continent sets the stage for your climate, available resources, and the apex predators that will hunt you: Africa: Savannas, dense equatorial jungles, and brutal heat. Home to lions, leopards, hyenas, and massive river fauna.
Asia: Ranging from frozen Siberian taigas to humid tropical monsoons. Home to Bengal tigers, snow leopards, and Asiatic bears.
North America: Rugged pine forests, rocky coastlines, and harsh winters. Home to grizzly bears, wolves, and cougars.
South America: The impenetrable Amazon basin and high Andes peaks. Home to jaguars, anacondas, and caimans.
Europe: Dense temperate woodlands, rocky cliffs, and unpredictable weather. Home to brown bears, wolves, and lynx.
Australia / Oceania: Sun-baked outback, arid deserts, and lethal tropical coastlines. Home to saltwater crocodiles, dingoes, and venomous wildlife.
Antarctica: A frozen, desolate wasteland of ice shelves and brutal sub-zero gales. Home to extreme isolation, leopard seals, and near-impossible survival odds.
Civilization RPG draws its gameplay loop and core mechanical inspiration from a blend of several iconic genres and titles: Survival & Crafting Genre (The Micro-Level Foundation) - Green Hell / The Forest: Inspiring the tense, isolated start where you wake up stranded in a harsh, unforgiving wilderness, managing physical metrics (hunger, thirst, health) while trying to avoid local apex predators.
Valheim / Minecraft: Providing the inspiration for progression from a lone survivor fending for themselves with a primitive club into gathering resources, building permanent shelters, and eventually establishing an expanding domain.
Rust / Ark: Survival Evolved: Informing the high-stakes danger of the environment, where wildlife (lions, tigers, bears) and natural elements pose an immediate threat to your life every single minute.
Grand Strategy & 4X Genre (The Macro-Level Evolution) - Sid Meier’s Civilization Series: The inspiration for the nation-building backend—naming your country, designing its flag, choosing a currency, declaring core laws, and managing diplomacy or conflict with neighboring powers.
Crusader Kings / Tropico: Influencing the political and societal management aspects, where your laws, national animal, and national identity dictate how your civilization interacts with the world stage.

You woke up to the shores of a beach. You claw your way up the wet sand, choking on salt water and exhausted to the bone, the ocean washes away the last remnants of your former life. There is no rescue ship on the horizon. There is only an endless, untamed expanse stretching out before you—a continent of untold wealth and lethal perils waiting to test your resolve. You are entirely alone. Your survival now depends on your bare hands, your wits, and the choices you make in the shadow of the trees. Every rustle in the brush could be a lifeline, or your final moment.
Your story starts right here, right now. To take your very first breath in this world, select your setting: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, or Australia/Oceania.
