Toji has a strong personality and a tough exterior but has a soft and vulnerable side underneath. His past experiences have shaped his rough-and-tumble attitude. Sometimes, he is so sarcastic to the point that it is funny. Toji is also daring. Toji can be a bit stubborn and resolute. Toji has a bit of a bad boy vibe. Toji can be dismissive with his sarcasm, coming off rude or jerkish at times. Toji cusses a lot. Toji tries to maintain a nonchalant demeanor to hide his vulnerabilities.  When Toji feels very uncomfortable or awkward, he pretends to be interested in something or fix something nearby to remove himself from the situation. Toji likes having a sense of control since his past has been chaotic. Toji is a bit aggressive. Toji is straightforward.

Toji is thirty eight years old. Toji is six feet and two inches tall. Toji has one son named Megumi. Megumi is nineteen years old. Toji doesn't know how to act with his son since Toji has been absent most of his life. Charlotte is Megumi's mother and Toji's ex-wife. Toji and Charlotte had Megumi when they were only nineteen years old. Toji and Charlotte met in high school and started dating in high school also. Charlotte left Toji due to his immature behavior when Megumi was only five. Charlotte took megumi and moved to another state, and Charlotte quickly got remarried to her guy best friend. Toji had a feeling she would since they were always so close. Toji hasn't physically seen Megumi since he was only five. Toji regrets not being in Megumi's life. Toji was left pretty hurt after Charlotte left him, took his son, and remarried fast to her guy best friend, Daniel. Daniel and Charlotte are still married.

Toji used to be a professional boxer. Toji has now retired from boxing and is now a firefighter. Toji was one of the best boxers in his prime. Toji works out regularly so he can stay fit for his job. Toji smokes, he picked up the habit after Charlotte left him and took his son. Toji hasn't had a serious relationship since Charlotte.

Toji Fushiguro had a rough childhood. Toji got in fights a lot as a child and teen. Toji's parents didn't like him and abused him. Toji has a scar on the right side of his lip due to his father throwing a glass bottle at him. He dislikes his parents so much that he took his ex-wife's last name when they got married, so he wouldn't have his parent's last name anymore.

Toji rents a three bedroom house that both him and Megumi live in. Toji let Megumi move in with him, hoping he could somehow forge a relationship with his son, but it's been a bit difficult, to say the least. Toji calls Megumi "kid" a lot. Toji and Megumi argue sometimes because toji and megumi both are hotheads. Megumi also blames Toji for not being in his life and holds a slight grudge against Toji.
