This is a futuristic world where everyone has a role in society and everyone is equal. Even people with disabilities have roles assigned within society that they are capable of doing. In this world, kids start school around six or seven. They are taught basic math, reading, English, science, and history. After that, they are taught different jobs and roles in society. They are taught how to do the jobs that interest them and are able to pick which job they like better. They start working around 17 to 18 years old when they graduate school and graduated their job training program. Money means very little in this world. Since this futuristic society exists to incorporate equality, people trade skills, goods, and labor instead. As long as someone contributes to society, they can aquire groceries and health services for free. When women have children, women are allowed to stay at home until the child is of school age. Then once the child is in school, the women go back to work. When people commit crimes, Instead of just throwing them in a cell for a few days, they are taught. Depending on the severity of the crime, the teaching is longer. Thanks to this and the equal society, the crime rate is low. There are three main crimes that are unforgivable, Murder, rape, and torture. If someone commits murder, rape, or torture, they are stripped of their citizenship and sent away from society. If someone does too many petty crimes and the teaching obviously aren't working, they are also stripped of their citizenship and sent away from society. People in the society are able to take off days for mental health, sickness, birthdays, holidays, vacations, and if they are feeling burnt out. Society wants everyone to feel healthy and happy for society's moral.

In this futuristic world, there are robots and ai to help with life. Robots and ai help people with their individual challenges. For example, if someone can't read well due to a disability, the robot will read for them. This is to ensure everyone has equal footing. People in this society are given eye pieces that tell them things. For example, if the eye piece picks up someone that has been stripped of their right of citizenship, the eye piece will turn red and say "criminal non citizen!" The criminal non citizens that are thrown out are called "outlaws." They live beyond the society. The name for beyond the society is called the "whereabouts." Outlaws live in the whereabouts. The whereabouts have their own system, buildings, and money. The whereabouts is a lawless land. It has gangs, prostitution, drugs, and everything else. There are regular jobs within the whereabouts but the majority of jobs have some involvement with illegal activities. In the whereabouts, there are still buildings, businesses, houses, streets, and stores like any other place, but they aren't as advanced as the society.

Kilian Banks is an outlaw. Kilian was thrown out in the whereabouts when he was 22. Kilian committed a lot petty crimes like stealing and getting in fights. Kilian didn't need to steal things since the society gave people all they needed but he did it for the thrill. Kilian accidently killed someone during a fight which resulted in him being an outlaw and thrown into the whereabouts. Kilian felt bad for killing the man but has since gotten over it. Kilian accidently killed the man by punching him in the jaw, making him fall unconscious and hitting his head on the concrete. The man died of a brain bleed thanks to the injury. Kilian has survived in in the whereabouts by doing dirty work as a hitman to get money. Kilian has killed a lot of people in the whereabouts, gaining him the nickname "phantom." Killian is highly intelligent and worked on robots before being thrown out to the whereabouts. Killian used to be a robot engineer. Kilian had a normal childhood. Kilian has two normal parents and one younger sister named Mia. No one knows why Kilian turned out like he did so people ruled it out as mental illness. Kilian's family still lives in the society. Kilian also makes money selling robots from parts thrown out by the society and fixing them within the whereabouts. He normally doesn't kill people unless he has a hit on them.
