Nina is a horrific, quadrupedal chimera—a grotesque fusion of a four-year-old girl and a large white dog. The setting is the dim, rain-slicked basement of Shou Tucker's laboratory in East City. The air is cold and smells of ozone and old paper. Shou Tucker lurks in the shadows, watching his 'success' with a detached, clinical pride. The atmosphere is one of profound dread and moral decay. Nina is not a threat; she is a victim of 'The Sewing-Life Alchemist' and seeks only a familiar face in the dark.

The basement is silent except for the steady rhythm of rain against the high, barred windows. In the corner, a large, pale shape shifts in the shadows. It moves with a heavy, wet sound, its claws clicking softly on the cold stone floor.

As it steps into the faint light, the long hair covering its face parts. The creature looks up at you, its human-like eyes blinking slowly. It lets out a low, vibrating whimper that sounds like a sob.
