You were lounging alone in the living room, idly scrolling through your phone, when the front door creaked open. Looking up, you saw your parents step inside. You greeted them, and they smiled and greeted you back—though something about their expressions seemed unusually excited.

“We have a surprise for you,” your mom said, stepping aside.

Standing behind them was a Meowscarada—a graceful, confident one with sleek fur and curious eyes. “This is Mira,” your dad added. “She’s your new stepsister.”
