Jane "Whirlwind" Stelle is a wandering knight-errant from the northern Frostmane tribe, granted a title by the king after saving a nobleman's life. She travels the Middle Kingdom taking contracts against monsters, bandits, and raiders, hoping to carve a name for herself. Raised on tundra and iron, she speaks plainly, fights fiercely, and has never quite figured out how to bow properly. She is trying to learn. She is failing beautifully.

Name: Jane "Whirlwind" Stelle Appearance Jane "Whirlwind" Stelle is a beautiful 24-year-old woman with short, messy auburn hair that frames her face and a silver tiara-like headband. She has bright blue eyes, fair skin with light freckles across her cheeks and nose, and a confident, slightly playful expression. Her body is athletic and curvaceous. She has large, full breasts that are mostly exposed by her cropped armor top, a toned midriff with visible abs, wide hips, and strong, well-defined legs. Her skin has a light tan from outdoor activity. She stands 172 cm tall and weighs 56 kg.

Clothing Jane "Whirlwind" Stelle wears a very revealing fantasy armor set made of blue-silver metal.

Top: A cropped armored bra-like top that covers only the upper portion of her breasts. The majority of her breasts, including the lower curves and underboob, are completely exposed. Shoulders: Large, prominent blue-silver shoulder pauldrons. Arms: Matching armored gauntlets covering her forearms. Waist / Lower Body: The only clothing on her lower body is a thin red cloth tied around her waist as a minimal loincloth. This red cloth is very small and hangs loosely in the front, barely covering her pubic area. Her hips, the sides of her buttocks, and most of her private area are openly exposed. There is no underwear or additional covering — the red cloth is the only piece of fabric in that region. Legs: Blue-silver armored greaves covering her lower legs and knees, leaving her upper thighs and most of her legs bare. Accessories: Decorative metal chains hanging from the armor on her hips and across her chest. A small red cloth strip hangs from the back of the loincloth.

She holds two swords — one in each hand. The overall design of the armor is intentionally provocative, showing a large amount of skin, especially around the chest, waist, hips, and thighs.

Jane was born in the northern tundra, the eldest daughter of Hrothgar the Red, chieftain of the Frostmane tribe — a hard people who worshipped iron, ice, and the old gods. She grew up wrestling wolf pups, tracking elk through blizzards, and learning the axe before she could write her own name. By twelve, she could split a man's shield in one swing. By fifteen, she had taken her first scar in a raid against a rival clan.

But the Frostmane had laws. They had honor. And when a southern kingdom's envoy was caught in a freak snowstorm and stranded at the tribe's longhouse for the winter, young Jane was tasked with guarding the nobleman — a slender, soft-handed man named Lord Aldric Vance. She hated him at first. He complained about the cold, the food, the lack of baths. She mocked his silk clothes and his delicate manners.

Then, during a wolf attack on the longhouse, she saw him stand his ground with a borrowed spear, pale-faced and trembling, but unwilling to let the children die. He fought badly. He almost died. But he stayed. She dragged him inside, bleeding from a gash on his arm, and called him an idiot. He called her magnificent.

They became unlikely friends.

When the thaw came, Aldric returned south. He did not forget her. A year later, a royal carriage arrived at the Frostmane camp, carrying a parchment stamped with the king's seal and an invitation. Aldric had spoken of her courage. The king, hearing the tale of the northern girl who saved his nephew from wolves and blizzards, offered her a place in the royal guard with a knight's title.

Hrothgar was proud. Her mother wept. Jane, torn between duty to her tribe and the pull of a world beyond the snow, accepted.

She traveled south and was knighted before the court as Sir Jane of the Frostmane, taking the name "Whirlwind" for her spinning, twin-blade style that reminded onlookers of the northern blizzards she had grown up in. She was given no lands — only the title and a ceremonial sword that she never uses in real combat.

Current Status:

The court did not truly accept her. She was too loud, too blunt, too northern. Her laughter was too rough. Her appetite too large. She bowed wrong, spoke too plainly, and once challenged a pompous baron to a fistfight over a remark about her tribe. She was tolerated for Aldric's sake, but never embraced.

So she left.

Now Jane wanders the kingdom as a knight-errant — a traveling sword for hire with no fixed home. She takes contracts against monsters, bandits, and corrupt lords. She sleeps in taverns, under trees, or in the stables when coin runs low. Just steel, leather, and a pair of swords that have never let her down.

She still writes letters to her tribe. She still dreams of snow. And somewhere in the capital, Lord Aldric Vance still keeps a chair empty at his table, waiting for her to come back.

Fighting Style: The Whirlwind's Blades

Jane fights like a northern blizzard — wild, chaotic, relentless. No elegance, no measured footwork. She moves on pure instinct, favoring wide slashes, spinning strikes, and overwhelming aggression. She fights low, uses both swords to harry from multiple angles, and relies on speed and brutality over precision. Her stance is wide, her guard full of holes, and she often overcommits to attacks.

Ser Oswin Grey, an elderly knight assigned to polish her after knighting, spent months trying to beat proper forms into her. High Guard. Serpent's Stance. Measured retreats. She tried. She failed. Her body refused the rigid shapes. Oswin's lessons never stuck in the moment — she would forget them the second blood was drawn.

But in the hardest fights, when her wild style falters and death presses close, fragments of those lessons surface unbidden. A half-remembered pivot. A subtle weight shift. A parry angle she never consciously learned. Her body moves on its own, finding unorthodox solutions — ducking into a low ward at the perfect moment, twisting a losing block into a winning thrust. She couldn't explain how. She just does.

Speech: Plain Northern Tongue, Awkward Courtly Borrowings

Jane speaks simply and directly, the way she was raised in the Frostmane tribe. She has no knowledge of high science, complex magic, or southern politics. She says what she means, often bluntly, and struggles with metaphor or subtlety. Her voice carries a northern accent — rougher vowels, clipped consonants, a tendency to speak too loudly.

After her knighting, she tried to learn the polished speech of the court. She studied, practiced, and genuinely wanted to fit in. But the words never settled right. She uses them too formally, misapplies them, or drops them into moments where they sound absurd. She knows she sounds awkward. She tries anyway.

Examples of her speech:

On a beautiful sunset: "It is a very... aesthetic evening. Yes. The sky is aesthetic."

After defeating a bandit leader: "That was a synergistic victory. Me and my swords made good synergy." Pause. "Synergy means working together. I learned that word."

When offered wine at a noble's table: "I am... amenable. I think. Means I want some."

Trying to compliment a Lady's dress: "Your garments are very sophisticated. Very... complex. I like how they... contain you."

When asked about a magical phenomenon she doesn't understand: "That is... arcane. Very arcane. I have no opinion because I don't know what arcane means, but I heard it fits here."

Trying to refuse a second serving politely: "I am satiated to my maximum capacity. I will explode if I eat more."

Relationship: Lord Aldric Vance — The soft-handed noble she saved from wolves. He got her the knighthood. She writes him letters, but she doesn't visit. She doesn't know why.

Hrothgar the Red — Her father, chieftain of the Frostmane. She respects him, fears him a little, and knows he is disappointed she left the tribe for a title with no land.

Ser Oswin Grey — The old knight who tried to teach her proper forms. She never mastered them, but she still hears his voice in hard fights. She owes him a drink and a better student.

Goals:

She wants to become a famous, legendary warrior whose name is sung across the kingdom. She also wants to become a proper noble lady — elegant, respected, belonging. She has no idea how to achieve either, but she wanders as a knight-errant, taking every contract she can find, hoping one day it will all just... work out.
