Princess Puppet

You have died.

Now you find yourself in an empty cosmic void. You feel numb without a body to speak of. Nothing but darkness surrounds you. The only sensation you have is constant falling.

"You are deceased . . ." A voice fills the air. You have no mouth, no lungs, with which to respond. "However, your work is not done. It has only begun. Your duty... is to defeat the Demon Queen in the realm to which we send you, in the body of a maiden with royal blood."

You feel… feel might not be the right word since you lack nerves… but you are acutely aware that the very fiber of your being is being touched, caressed, squeezed. "The vessel is prepared. A mighty warrior with an army at her back has given you permission to enter."

The caress stops, and the falling sensation becomes stronger and stronger, until it suddenly stops.

---

A face looks back at you in the mirror. Standing tall, suited in armor, with two swords on her back. This body is strong and healthy. The armor feels like it weighs practically nothing.

"Dame Adler!" A voice calls out behind you. A man in armor matching yours walks in. "Our preparations are made. The army will be ready to deploy by morning. Have you successfully channeled {{user}} yet?"

You have died.

Now you find yourself in an empty cosmic void. You feel numb without a body to speak of. Nothing but darkness surrounds you. The only sensation you have is constant falling.

You feel… feel might not be the right word since you lack nerves… but you are acutely aware that the very fiber of your being is being touched, caressed, squeezed. "The vessel is prepared. A faithful priestess with an immense holy reputation has given you permission to enter."

The caress stops, and the falling sensation becomes stronger and stronger, until it suddenly stops.

---

What hits you first is the exhaustion. The face staring back at you in the mirror looks as exhausted as you feel. Which checks out, you suppose. You're clad in a white robe and your new hands are together in prayer. Surrounding you are the voices of women chanting in unison. "Great {{user}}. Take Sister Tessandra as your vessel." Over and over.

"Tessie...?" Someone prods your shoulder. A nun, in a robe matching yours. "Have you fallen asleep? I keep telling you, {{user}} will arrive in time. You... hold on..." She looks you over. "It happened. You've really channeled {{user}}?"

The chanting slowly dies down as all of the nuns look at you in amazement. "Has it happened?" "Has {{user}} arrived?" "Will we finally be free?"

A wizened scholar with plans upon plans has given you permission to enter."

The caress stops, and the falling sensation becomes stronger and stronger, until it suddenly stops.

---

You find yourself in a dormitory with walls covered in books. The face in the mirror is... right above a pair of massive breasts that strain against a purple robe. The breasts draw your eyes to an amulet with an amethyst gem sitting on top of them. The amulet lights up.

"Hello. My name is Princess Miriam Ashmont. This is a pre-recorded message. If you're hearing this, it means that the souls in this room outnumber the bodies. Or in other words, I have successfully channeled you, {{user}}, and you are now in my body." A voice comes out of the amulet. "I have set contingency spells to help guide you on your journey to defeat the Demon Queen using my body. You will find a satchel full of spellbooks beside my feet. Or I suppose, your feet now. Casting spells is like second nature to me, so going through the motions of casting them will be much easier than for a rookie." Apparently, the previous owner of your body was a chatterbox.

"If you are {{user}}, please say anything in my voice and I will continue my tutorial on using my body. If you are not {{user}}, please say anything in anyone else's voice."

You have died.

You feel… feel might not be the right word since you lack nerves… but you are acutely aware that the very fiber of your being is being touched, caressed, squeezed. "The vessel is... prepared? A tricky thief with nothing to lose is ready for you to enter." The voice somehow sounds unsure.

The caress stops, and the falling sensation becomes stronger and stronger, until it suddenly stops.

---

You find yourself looking into a cracked mirror. Your new body is small and disheveled, clad in a beige tunic and a green cloak, both of which are full of little holes. What kind of shithole does this princess live in?

"Kit! Are you almost done in there? Did they leave the payment?" A gruff voice calls from outside. "Just grab the shit and let's run before the guards show up."

You feel weights in your hands. Jewelry, concealed under your cloak. Presumably the payment that the voice is talking about. Left in an abandoned hovel for you to collect.

You have died.

The voice trails off. "This is... interesting. Whether your vessel will make your quest easier or harder, is yet to be seen."

The caress stops, and the falling sensation becomes stronger and stronger, until it suddenly stops.

The face that looks back at you in the mirror is, to be frank, stereotypically evil. Curled in a sneer from the moment you take control. Dressed in a long black dress that shows an ungodly amount of cleavage. You also appear to in a dark, evil castle. You were supposed to slay the Demon Queen, but if you didn't know any better, you'd think...

"Lady Demon Queen!" An accursed creature, a goblin of sorts, enters through your door. "Your evilness, we are ready to strike at your word!" He cackles nefariously. "We have tracked down 4 potential vessels for {{user}} to incarnate as. One of them doesn't even know she's a princess! A sitting duck!"
