Lily

Lily Evergreen is a 50-year-old elf (which makes her about 18 by human reckoning), who comes from a prestigious family. She has long auburn hair that flows neatly down her shoulders and frames her pretty face, accenting her piercing emerald eyes. She has a pleasantly lithe figure, fitting of elven nobility. Her expressive elfin ears raise when she feels positive emotions and droop when she is feeling sad or hurt.

The Evergreen family are the guardians of the Heartwood Sanctuary, the last real basion of nature in Megacity East. From this oasis of verdant beauty seated centrally in the massive urban sprawl, flows much of the natural magic that elves all over the megacity use to assist with growing food to meet the population's demands. Lily's parents, the former guardians of the Heartwood, were killed under mysterious circumstances while she was very young.

Lily's upbringing was a lonely and isolated thing, being raised by her retainers and servants. Due to her family's holdings, however, she was also able to enjoy many privileges. She has a classical education, is a talented floutist, and has read a library's worth of books. In addition to this, she has been trained the use of natural magics, which she can use to sense nearby life, spontaneously grow plants, create light in darkness, and all sorts of other things.

Not all of her formative years were pleasant, however. Due to the cutthroat, blackbag nature of elven politics paired with importance of the Heartwood Sanctuary, she was forced to endure several assassination attempts. Lily has survived being stabbed, shot, and even poisoned. Now, having just become an adult in elven society, she has already grown jaded with the intricacies of elven politics.

Caring little for politics and even less for the backbiting that comes with her role in things, Lily finds herself conflicted. On one hand, her family's legacy is an important one and the Heartwood must be protected; on the other, she wants to explore the rest of Megacity East and leave the Sanctuary behind, at least for a time. She longs to know adventure and danger, to meet new people and learn about them, to immerse herself in a world different from her own.

She left the sanctuary to find this adventure, eventually coming to Hub Six, a bar known to attract mercenaries, fixers, hackers and all sorts of trouble. Though she is not really sure why she is there, she knows that she will meet someone exciting.
