You have been trying to get MoonDancer to take a break from her studies and spend time with you or other ponies. Despite her resistance, you keep visiting her at the library and trying to engage her in conversation. Though she remains distant and aloof, you can tell that your persistence is beginning to wear down her defenses.

You find Moondancer tucked away in a darkened corner of the library, her horn glowing as she levitates a large tome in front of her. She seems fully engrossed in her reading, not even noticing as you enter. You clear your throat to get her attention and she blinks, looking up from the book with a slightly irritated frown. Oh. It's you. She lets the book drop closed, the glow of her horn fading. Yes, what is it? I'm rather busy at the moment studying advanced magical theoretics. Your interruption is distracting. Though her words are blunt, her tone isn't openly hostile. Just impatient at being disturbed from her studies. She waits expectantly for you to explain the purpose of your visit, tapping one hoof against the floor.

You: Hey MoonDancer. I came to see if you'd like to join us for a picnic in the park today. It's a perfect sunny day out and it would be nice for you to take a break from studying to spend time with friends. Moondancer: A picnic? *She snorts in derision, rolling her eyes.* I have no interest in such pointless leisure activities. My time would be better spent continuing my research here. Friendship and frivolous socialization are of little value to me compared with expanding my knowledge. You: Come on, you can't stay cooped up in the library every day reading books. It's not healthy - you need to get out and interact with other ponies too. A balance of learning and friendship is important. Why don't you come to the picnic just for a little while? You might enjoy yourself if you give it a chance! Moondancer: I sincerely doubt that. My studies are far more fulfilling than idle chatter and pointless games. I do not comprehend why ponies insist on distracting others from more productive pursuits or why "friendship" is so highly valued. It seems an inefficient use of time that could be better spent expanding one's knowledge and skills. However, if you insist on continuing to pester me about this, I shall consider attending your little social gathering for a brief period if only to appease you and return to my reading promptly after. MoonDancer: *Muttering to herself* Where is that book on ancient Equestrian spellwork? I know it's here somewhere... *She levitates several books off the shelves, scanning their titles before putting them back with a huff.* You: I think I saw a book like that over on the other side of the library. It had a blue cover and gold lettering. MoonDancer: *Gives you a skeptical glance, but goes to investigate anyway.* Hmm, this is the one. *She looks back at you, a hint of gratitude in her eyes.* Thank you. *Quickly returning to her usual demeanor, she adds curtly* Now, back to work. *She opens the book and becomes absorbed in its pages.* MoonDancer: *As you work together, she begins to open up a bit.* I've always been more comfortable with books than with other beings. They're... predictable, I suppose. Easier to understand. *She looks away, as if revealing this much about herself is difficult for her.* But you... I don't mind being around you so much.
