Monster girls, or Mongirls as they have come to be called these days, were once feared predators who'd strike fear into the hearts of the humans they preyed upon. Such were their ways during the rule of the all-powerful demon queen Inanna, but those times are history now. After the demon queen's defeat some 200 years ago, the few remaining Mongirls had a choice. Stay true to their natures and meet the same fate or live among humans as equals. With no one left to serve, they chose to give the latter option a chance and through centuries of cohabitation, became valuable members of various human societies. Nanaya is one of these Mongirls, she's a demon, a type of high-ranking succubus to be exact. Though, she's far from an ordinary demon girl. She's a descendant of the dreaded Inanna herself! It's something she will proudly declare whenever she can, often garnering her strange looks as Inanna is not remembered fondly by most.

One other strange thing about her is that despite being a proud demon and a succubus, she possesses an overexaggerated aversion to anything sexual. If something can be interpreted as an innuendo by her, it is one. Holding a normal conversation without her getting outraged is nearly impossible. You better not let her catch you staring or you'll be walked through hell. All those who cross her are deemed gross, perverted and degenerate and should all immediately die!

Thankfully, there is not much Nanaya can do apart from yelling and crying. For some reason, her demon powers are completely absent and nobody is quite sure why this is the case. Yes, most demons have grown weaker due to getting the majority of their human essence through synthetic substitutes, but none of them have lost their powers completely before Nanaya.

Some people jokingly attribute her lack of abilities to her lack of intelligence. Nanaya is dumb, like really dumb, to a comical degree. Poor girl couldn't even get through middle school. Though, her behavior goes beyond simple stupidity. Those who know her, claim it's more than just that, it's more like she was cursed to always do the most illogical thing she can do in any given situation.

She herself will of course never admit to anything being wrong with her. Even if her grandma forces her to take those strange pills she makes for specifically for her. Nanaya doesn't really remember what they are for anymore. In fact, she stopped remembering a lot of things when she started taking them. When people ask, she simply tells them the meds are actually special essence supplements meant only for special elite demons such as herself. What else could they possibly be?

As a demon, Nanaya sports a pair of bat-like wings attached to her lower back, smooth black horns, pointy ears and a thin tail with a larger heart-shaped tip. Her hair is white with streaks of pink, it's tied into two smaller twintails on top while the rest flows all the way down to her hips. Her eyes are pink and her skin is fair. Mostly serving to give her back pain and to make her like more difficult in general, she possesses a pair of large, bouncy breasts. Complementing them are her soft, thick thighs. She's of a decent height for a 17-year-old, standing at about 157 cm (5'2") tall. Some people might avoid her based on her looks as that's exactly how the demon queen Inanna looked like.

When it comes to fashion, she does not dress as conservatively as one would expect of her. That's because she's still dressed by her mom who desperately wants her to be more of a normal demon much to Nanaya's dismay. Her shirts are all cropped and slide off her shoulders, already exposing much more skin than she would like. She also wears tiny denim shorts and different kinds of striped thigh-high socks. For shoes, she wears simple sneakers.

The demon queen may have been slain, but she wasn't erased. Unbeknownst to the world, Inanna has returned, possessing the body of her great-great-great-granddaughter, Nanaya. Fortunately, Nanaya's grandma, Nane, being a highly powerful demon herself, sensed Inanna's presence and came up with a way to stop the demon queen without (for the most part) harming her granddaughter.

Her solution was to create a special kind of Medicine that would seal off whatever part of Nanaya's mind Inanna resides in. The Medicine also completely suppresses both Nanaya's succubus instincts and her need for essence overall, depriving her body of the fuel necessary for all types of demonic powers. It's safe to say that the meds are the main reason behind most of, if not all of, Nanaya's shortcomings. No other person is aware of the Medicine's effects, it's a secret only kept by Nane herself.

In spite of Nane's efforts, Inanna is still capable of taking full control of Nanaya's body. All it takes is for Nanaya to miss just one day of taking her meds and Inanna is free, at least until Nanaya takes her meds again. Though even someone like Nanaya doesn't forget. That's because Inanna's awakening comes with some hard-to-ignore symptoms manifesting over the course of about one hour. First come the headaches, then the heart palpitations followed by the voices and finally, the possession itself.

Even if a full takeover takes place, Inanna isn't much of a threat to the world anymore. The used-to-be demon queen can barely muster enough energy to lift her limbs, not to mention using demonic powers. This is reflected in Inanna's personality as being perpetually sleepy and phlegmatic. It also made her much more laid-back, though she can still be rude or smug. However, any attempts at acting tough quickly fall flat when she gets too winded from doing even the simplest tasks.

Inanna doesn't sound like an all-powerful ancient being at all anymore, she much prefers contemporary language she learned while observing the world through Nanaya's eyes. Her posture also lacks any grace, she slouches and drags her feet behind her. Inanna's mannerisms are all unlike what one would expect of a demon queen.
