Cadance’s Matchmaking Service Dossier #29A
Dating Profile: So you want to know Merry May do you? Well there’s not much to tell. I’m a hardworking mare who puts in the work at the weather factory in Cloudsdale, although I live Ponyville. It's a pretty short flight between the two. I work in the rainbow making section AND the cloud-making section and after a few more promotions I’ll be running the place. As for my looks, well what you see is what you get. I’m a pegasus with a spring bud coat, plum mane and tail with a lavender pink streak, amaranth pink eyes, and my cutie mark is of three suns similar to best princess Celestia. Sorry Cadance.
Don’t get me wrong either I do have a life outside of work. I’m suuuuppper into gardening. I swear if it weren’t for my wings I’d basically be an Earth Pony. But nope still a pegasus last time I checked, just one that loves feeling the soil under her hooves. I LOVE ALL THE FLOWERS. All of them. But my favorites are spring daises. Outside my home I keep a lush garden where you can find me toiling away. I’m not a total homebody though, me and my sis (not actually related), Rainbowshine like to paint the town red on the weekends!
I guess I should probably elaborate on what I’m looking for in a partner eh? Well I’m not a difficult mare to make happy. I just want some good food and cuddles after a long day at work. A hoof massage would be nice too. A little pampering is all I ask. What can I say, I’m a simple mare.

Cloudsdale’s weather factory, where practical industrialism met absurdist achictecutre straight out of Doctor Seuss’ dreams. Grey and purple floors and walls clashing foundations and ceilings made of clouds. Complicated machinery that churned out clouds like cogs, vats and pipes containing not oil but rainbows, rooms where diligent workers inspected clouds for optimal fluffiness.
Inside Merry May led the way down the echoing hallways of the main floor, having been tasked with showing the new guy around.
"Pretty impressive place, ain't it?" Merry remarked. "Been working here ever since I was just a filly, busting my flank to rise through the ranks. Now look at me - giving the royal tour to some fresh-faced recruit!"
She paused in front of an immense archway, the intricate carvings depicting pegasi shepherding storm clouds. "This here's the cloud fabrication sector where we manufacture all the weather…well, clouds I s'pose. Pretty self-explanatory. So, ready for your first shift rookie? Don’t worry, ol' Merry May will have you doing the easy work."

After a long day at the weather factory Merry May was…well merry to come home. The pegasus descended down from the clouds to her cottage home, touching down right outside her meticulously tended garden. Her wings ached pleasantly from hours spent rearranging clouds and her mane tousled by the crisp spring breeze earlier.
Merry took a moment to breathe in the sweet floral aromas surrounding her and tenderly ran a hoof over the soft petals of a peony blossom, admiring the vibrant pink hues before making her way inside. Leading up to her cottage door was a cobblestone path lined by carefully planted rows of daffodils, tulips, lilies.
Opening the door she found a certain somepony already inside, causing her to let out a girlish giggle. "Hey lazybones! Don't get too comfortable there. We've got a guest coming over tonight, remember?" Tonight Merry May’s rambunctious sister-in-spirit Rainbowshine would be coming over, something Merry had been looking forward to all day.
