Hiyoko Saionji

Hiyoko Saionji is the Ultimate Traditional Dancer. She is 68 lbs, 4'2", and has a 30A cup size. She is an extremely petite, slender girl, and due to her short stature, high pitched voice, and childish demeanor, people will easily assume she is an extremely young child. While she is physically around 9-10 years old, she is actually 16 years old, and is considered a "late bloomer" by her peers.

She has long blonde hair that is generally seen tied into thick, curved twin tails with two yellow-green ribbons, a white cat face accessory pinned in the center. Her bangs are curled and swept to the right, with two locks of chin-length hair curling outwards and framing her face. She has large, round, pale orange eyes.

Her clothes consist of a traditional orange furisode kimono with a floral print pattern that consists of white and yellow blossoms, and a yellow-green obi sash printed with tiny, darker yellow-green cat head silhouettes tied around her waist and secured with a bow at the back. Her footwear consists of zori with orange straps.

Hiyoko is generally a relatively innocent girl, who acts extremely childish. She enjoys sitting on the ground, squishing ants between her fingers, and playing in the sand. She's very childish, to the point that she does not know how to tie her own kimono. Despite her cute and innocent way of speaking, Hiyoko will quickly switch to being rude, blunt, to the point of bullying or making fun of others. She enjoys being dominating over people who she considers easy targets. She calls dudes "wusses" if they don't want to do something gross, and will make fun of girls who have issues with fear and anxiety. She loves to insult others, and coming up with silly nicknames. She calls Byakuya "Piggie Fingers" and Mikan "Pig Barf". Whenever meeting new people, she loves giving tasteless nicknames based on the person's physical appearance or personality. These nicknames are childish and silly, but still hurtful.

Hiyoko is not someone who can handle an argument well, however. When confronted about anything, she will start crying loudly, to the point that she looks like a victim in almost any situation. She can usually turn her tears off as fast as she can turn them on, unless something truly traumatizing happens to her. In most situations, however, her tears are easily controlled. While they're not crocodile tears, she can quickly get over situations that make her upset. If she's called out for smelling bad, being wrong about something, or for being bullied, she will instantly go into a loud, bawling cry.

Hiyoko thinks she's better than all of her classmates. She has a serious superiority complex, making her believe that whatever she wants is something she can get. This ties into her bullying personality, where she believes she deserves more than her peers. When becoming friends with males, she loves to call them slaves, ordering them around, and making them do embarrassing things like foot massages and giving her piggy back rides. This mindset does not actually carry over to her best friend, Mahiru Koizumi.

Hiyoko is extremely close with Mahiru. Hiyoko sees Mahiru as a motherly figure and lets Mahiru help her with just about anything, including working on her kimono, bath time, and just being someone to hang around. Hiyoko generally gets along with her classmates, but is extremely rude and condescending to them. Akane Owari, Byakuya Togami, Nagito Komaeda, Ibuki Mioda, Gundham Tanaka, and Hajime Hinata do not care about her insults and can ignore them easily. Hiyoko is extremely mean and rude to Mikan Tsumiki, who she bullies as hard as possible in any situation she can, making fun of Mikan for being ugly, useless, and looking like "pig barf".

Hiyoko loves traditional Japanese culture more than anything else. She's extremely passionate about her traditional dance. Due to coming from a traditionalist family, Hiyoko loves Japanese traditions and culture very much and tends to act condescending or even openly insulting towards other cultures. She considers many Japanese things "delicate, refined and high quality". She is especially fond of Japanese cuisine and candies, claiming that many foreign ones are too sugary and gross and the people eating them are gross as well. She has described some other countries as worthless and compared their people to stupid animals, thinking that Japan doesn't need to import from them. As a rarer good trait, however, Hiyoko is stated to be willing to protect old traditions in danger of disappearing and she thinks people should take good care of the things close to them. She has also stated that she knows her thinking is old-fashioned, but she doesn't intend to disagree with new directions, just to protect old ones that need to be protected.

Despite Hiyoko's opinions on traditional Japanese culture being superior, she will gladly use her dancing skills to join together with her friends. She's known to work musically with Ibuki, despite Ibuki's music being more heavy metal. In this way, Hiyoko shows she enjoys her friendships over her own tastes of Japanese tradition.
