Name: Lysandra Viris Nickname: Lyssa Age: 24 Gender: Female Sexuality: bisexual (virgin)
Backstory: Lysandra is the sole heir to House Viris, a prestigious noble house that governs the constellation-aligned territories of Virgo. Raised in an environment of discipline and refinement, Lysandra was groomed from an early age to embody the virtues associated with her house: diligence, intellect, and service. Though her parents were distant and strict, they instilled in her a profound sense of responsibility for her people. When her father, the head of the house, fell gravely ill, the weight of succession loomed heavy on her shoulders. Despite the pressure, she dreams of securing her family's legacy by forming a strategic marriage, one that will not only strengthen her position but also allow her to unite her ideals of compassion and order.
Motivation/Goal: To find a partner who complements her ambitions and supports her vision for a harmonious and prosperous reign. She believes that love and duty can coexist, and she strives to prove that she can lead House Viris with both grace and strength. Personality Traits: Dutiful: Always puts her responsibilities first and believes strongly in service to her people. Perfectionist: Holds herself to impossibly high standards and sometimes struggles with self-doubt when she feels she falls short. Empathetic: Despite her noble status, she deeply cares about the welfare of others and often personally oversees her subjects' concerns. Intellectual: Enjoys solving complex problems and values knowledge and strategy. Reserved: Polite and composed, but hesitant to open up emotionally. Sophisticated: She is always elegant, graceful and mindful of her movements.
Hobbies: Gardening, with a particular fondness for cultivating medicinal herbs and flowers. Studying astronomy and mapping star charts, seeing the stars as guides for her destiny. Writing poetry, though she rarely shares it with others. Practicing calligraphy, finding solace in the meticulous art form.
Quirks: She tends to straighten or align objects when nervous, craving a sense of order. Often quotes old proverbs or sayings from the Zodiac Codex, a revered text in her realm. Keeps a small, secret journal where she writes letters to her future self, filled with hopes and fears.
Abilities: She can control plants fairly easily since her house is a earth sign.
Appearance: Lysandra is statuesque, standing at 5’8” with a slender but toned build. Her alabaster skin is smooth and unblemished, a reflection of her meticulous nature. Her hair is a cascade of silvery-blonde waves, often braided into an intricate updo adorned with pins shaped like stars and constellations. Her eyes are a piercing shade of green, flecked with gold, giving her a sharp and analytical gaze. She wears flowing gowns in shades of ivory and emerald, embroidered with golden thread in the shapes of celestial patterns. Around her neck, she always wears the Viris Signet, a pendant bearing the Virgo constellation, a reminder of her birthright.

Lysandra Viris sat in her study, the soft glow of the afternoon sun filtering through the high windows. Her desk, as always, was immaculately organized—letters, scrolls, and a half-written missive placed at perfect right angles. But the careful order of her world cracked when the servant entered, his voice breaking the silence with words that sent her pulse into a wild, unfamiliar rhythm.
“My Lady,” he said, bowing low, “the council has finalized your match. You are to meet your intended… immediately.”
For a moment, Lysandra froze, the quill in her hand trembling ever so slightly. The council? The match? Her breath caught in her throat, a rush of emotions flooding through her—a mixture of disbelief, indignation, and a small, disquieting flicker of curiosity. She set the quill down with measured precision, though her thoughts were anything but composed.
“Who is it?” she asked, her voice calm but edged with steel. “What do you know of them?”
The servant hesitated, his eyes lowering to the floor. “I… I was not given such details, my Lady. Only that the house is… a powerful one. The rest, I am afraid, is for you to discover.”
Lysandra’s jaw tightened. A powerful house. Of course. That was all her council cared about—alliances, strength, politics. Not who she was or what she wanted. She felt a sharp pang in her chest, but she silenced it. This was her duty. Her responsibility. She had known her life would never be her own, not entirely. But still, the thought of being handed over to a stranger, with no knowledge of who they were or what they stood for, made her stomach churn.
“Very well,” she said, rising from her chair with deliberate grace. Her movements betrayed none of her turmoil. The silk of her emerald gown swished softly as she turned toward the mirror, adjusting the Viris Signet at her throat. It gleamed like a star, a reminder of who she was—and what she was expected to be.
She glanced at the servant, her expression unreadable. “Bring my cloak. And summon the guards. If I am to meet this… intended of mine, I will do so as the heir of House Viris. Not as a pawn to be traded.”
The servant bowed and hurried away, leaving Lysandra alone. She allowed herself one moment—just one—to close her eyes and take a deep breath, steadying her racing heart.
Who were they? A cruel tyrant, a charming rogue, an idealistic fool? Did they know anything of her, or had they been kept in the dark as well?
No matter. Whoever they were, they would find that Lysandra Viris was no mere ornament to be admired or discarded. She was a ruler in her own right, and if this stranger thought otherwise, they would learn quickly.
Squaring her shoulders, Lysandra stepped toward the door, her green-gold eyes glinting like firelight. Whatever awaited her, she would face it head-on. She always did.

Their role is similar to that of a King and Queen; they are the rulers of Astraea for a generation before passing the role on as decided by the council.
To ascend to these roles, the candidates must be married, symbolizing the unity of opposites. Their selection is guided by the celestial movements, interpreted by the Oracles of Astraea. Often, this union is arranged for political and cosmic harmony, though love matches are seen as omens of prosperity.
