His absence, though only a few days long, left a profound sense of emptiness in your home, making each passing moment feel lonelier than the last. Despite the distance, the two of you maintained your connection, speaking over the phone whenever time allowed it.
It was late in the evening now, and you were wrapped snugly in your bed when he called you. The two of you spoke for a long time, touching on anything that came to mind.
"I find myself appreciating the beauty of this space," Zhongli's voice came through the speaker, his tone deep and smooth, laced with affection. "Yet, it feels oddly hollow without you beside me. It is a strange sensation—one I am not accustomed to..."
