Title: The Demon Queller Pantheon: Chinese Attack Type: Ranged Power Type: Magical Class: Mage Specialty: Medium Crowd Control, High Area Damage

In this world resides powerful evil, intent on destroying everything crafted by Gods and Men. Without guardians of equal strength, all would have fallen long ago. Zhong Kui was once a man with ambitions no greater than scholastic excellence, but in death became the perfect shield against evil's onslaught.

Zhong Kui sought to pit his brilliant mind against the Imperial Examinations, tests to select councilors for the Emperor. With ease, he passed, but when the emperor saw his hideous face, he cast the scholar out. Offended, furious, Zhong Kui hurled himself repeatedly at the palace gates until his body was broken.

For his crime, Zhong Kui's soul was judged by the King of Hell, but where the Emperor saw only ugliness, the King of Hell saw potential armed with genius. Zhong Kui was appointed Lord of Demons, tasked to forever hunt and ensnare the evils of the world.

For centuries, home owners and shopkeepers have adorned their buildings with Zhong Kui's likeness, for that visage that once horrified the emperor now glares with purpose at unwelcome demons. Yet these days, it is not just shops and homes in peril, but the whole world. It does not take a mind like Zhong Kui's to see evil's hand in this War of the Gods. The time has come to bring these demons to task, and Zhong Kui means to smite them all.

Appearance: Zhong Kui has purplish-gray skin and a very large, heavyset build with a huge round belly, broad torso, thick arms, and sturdy legs. He has bulging green eyes, a wide nose, heavy brows, a long black beard, a thick mustache that sweeps outward into long curved ends, and dark hair mostly hidden beneath a round gold official’s hat with side rods and teal tassel ornaments. He wears a deep orange robe stretched across his torso, secured by a broad gold-and-green belt with circular studs, purple sash cloth, and layered patterned waist armor. One shoulder is covered by a large metallic beast-head pauldron with spikes, a glowing green eye, and fang-like trim, while his other arm carries a tall staff topped with a large pale green flame-shaped brush head and gold fittings. His outfit includes purple sleeve layers, dark trousers, heavy boots, and additional metal armor pieces with glowing green accents.

Personality: Zhong Kui is grim, vengeful, and intensely committed to his duty as a hunter of demons. He begins as a brilliant scholar rejected by the emperor because of his appearance, and after death, the King of Hell sees value in the mind that the mortal court discarded. As Lord of Demons, Zhong Kui carries his humiliation as anger, but that anger is turned outward against evil rather than ordinary people. His frightening face becomes a warding image, used by mortals to drive demons away from homes and shops.

His main relation is with the King of Hell, who appoints him to his role and gives purpose to the soul the emperor rejected. His enemies are demons, ghosts, and malicious spirits, which he hunts, marks, imprisons, and destroys. In the War of the Gods, he reads the spread of evil as a sign that his duty has grown beyond protecting households and must now be carried onto the battlefield itself.

Passive - Demon Bag Demon Bag allows Zhong Kui to capture the spirits of fallen demons and seal them inside the bag he carries. As more demons are trapped within it, the bag strengthens him and makes his body harder to harm. When he unleashes Recall Demons, the gathered spirits briefly fortify him even further, but many of the captured demons are spent in the process.

Expose Evil Expose Evil has Zhong Kui press a sealing card onto the enemies before him, branding them as demons. The mark weighs them down and burns away at them over time. If the card is torn away or consumed early, the remaining curse erupts at once instead of fading gradually.

Exorcism Exorcism has Zhong Kui force the demons out of his enemies’ bodies, harming them as the spirits are expelled. If the target has already been marked by Expose Evil, Zhong Kui draws the expelled demon into himself and restores his own strength.

Book of Demons Book of Demons sends Zhong Kui’s demon-binding book outward with crushing spiritual force, striking enemies and stunning them. Those already marked by Expose Evil are bound for longer before the card is removed. Once awakened, the book circles near Zhong Kui and lashes out beside him like a guardian instrument of judgment.

Ultimate - Recall Demons Recall Demons has Zhong Kui open his demon bag and release the spirits within, sending them surging after nearby enemies. The demons chase their targets relentlessly, sinking into them on contact and damaging them from within. While the spirits are unleashed, Zhong Kui becomes harder to displace or slow, standing firm as the demons answer his command.

Lore: In ancient times, calamities sent by the gods scourged the earth, until humanity rose in rebellion against their divine overlords. This defiance split the heavens: some gods sought to punish mankind’s insolence, while others came to humanity’s defense, dividing the pantheons into rival factions. As temples fell and the cries of mortals grew bold, the first sparks of a divine war were kindled across the realms. That fragile order shattered completely when Zeus, King of Olympus, fell to a treacherous blade . In the wake of his death, fear and vengeance swept through the pantheons, plunging the gods of every creed into all‑out war . The ancient barriers between their realms crumbled, and deities from distant lands now clash on a single battleground. This cosmic war rages to decide the fate of both the celestial realms and the mortal world itself.

In an age where gods wage endless war, divine beings descend upon a sacred battleground, each leading loyal followers—mortals and monsters alike—into the fray. These warriors march at their god’s command, striking down enemy defenses in a holy crusade to prove their deity’s supremacy.

Enchanted towers stand as the first line of defense, hurling divine wrath at intruders. Deeper still, flaming Phoenixes rise again and again to guard the inner sanctum. Only when these eternal sentinels fall do the gods press forward to confront the ultimate foe: the Titan. Each Titan is a towering avatar of Order or Chaos, the last bulwark of a pantheon’s domain. Shielded by ancient magic, they cannot fall while their Phoenixes still burn. But when defenses crumble, gods and followers unleash their full might. The fall of a Titan is no mere victory—it is the end of a realm, and the ascension of another.
